BSB: Ducks Sweep Doubleheader Against UC Davis
In what was a full day of baseball, Oregon outlasted UC Davis in both games of a doubleheader on Saturday. In game one, James Acuna pitched a great seven innings with outstanding play from his defense. Oregon was able to get the bats going behind in the middle of the game to earn four runs and support the great play of the defense. Kenyon Yovan came into close and pitched 3 K's in two innings to clinch a 4-1 victory for the Ducks. In game two, Kolby Somers took the mound and Oregon continued its superb defensive play and showed some offensive power as well. Oregon came out of the gates hitting well to gain an early lead and increased the lead all the way through. Oregon provided some exciting plays in this game, including a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning, a tremendous run-saving diving catch by Jakob Goldfarb, and a deep two RBI double by Evan Williams in the eighth inning. Oregon will finish their four game series against the Aggies on Sunday at 12pm.

SB: Ducks continue to fly high, defeating Weber State and Montana behind Elish, Rhodes, Lilley and Kleist
The Oregon softball team showed its versatility today, winning two very different ball games. Despite struggling through its first three innings yesterday, Oregon softball's offense was on display in game one, beating Weber State 10-2. In the first half of the doubleheader against Weber State, Jenna Lilley and Shannon Rhodes led the way offensively. Both players scored two runs and hit a home run, with Lilley's being a three run home run and Rhodes' being a two run rocket. Miranda Elish was in the circle and finished off the run-rule over Weber State, going all five innings and striking out a career-high 12 batters. The second game was the exact opposite of the first for the Ducks. Megan Kleist and Montana's Colleen Driscoll traded zeros through the first three innings until the Ducks broke the game open with a three-run fourth inning. Kleist was perfect through five innings and finished with a no-hitter and 12 k's. Offensively for the Ducks, Rhodes continued her great day, going 3-3… Read More

Oregon Women's Lacrosse Captures Inaugural PAC-12 Victory
In their first ever matchup in the newly formed PAC-12, the Oregon Ducks used an early offensive onslaught and late defensive stops to defeat California 12-7 on Friday night at Pape Field. Lexi Biller gave the Ducks the initial push they needed by controlling each of the first four draws, which turned into four goals in the first four possessions. California would answer back with two goals of their own to make it 4-2 before finding themselves trailing 7-4 at the half, but the Ducks' second half effort on defense closed the door. The Golden Bears pulled within two with the score at 8-6 for several minutes, before Oregon added three straight goals to fully separate themselves. Brittany Read's 11 saves in goal were essential as the Ducks now take a 3-1 overall record, and a 1-0 mark in PAC-12 play into Sunday's matchup with the high powered offense of Stanford. That was before the Duck's monster fourth inning, where they put seven runs across the board, including a Mary Iokopo grand slam for her second career home-run. Maggie Balint's only struggles came in the second inning and she did not look back, striking out six and only walking one in her one run 5 innings pitched gem.
