Stipend and Hourly Positions
These student positions are open to full-time enrolled UO students only. For questions or more information, email the general manager, gm@kwvaradio.org.
- DJ Director: The DJ Director oversees all on-air content and is responsible for hiring and training DJs.
- Music Director: This position’s responsibilities include organizing the music library, being the contact with promoters, compiling the weekly charts, and maintaining relationships with music labels.
- Assistant Music Director: This position assists the music director with charting, sharing the charts via web and social media, and overseeing the music blog.
- News Director: The news director is responsible for the daily broadcast of live campus news productions and the coordination and oversight of talk shows. This position recruits, oversees, and trains reporting staff.
- Sports Director: The sports director is responsible for the broadcast of live sports and the weekly sports talk program. This position recruits, oversees, and trains sports reporting staff.
- Assistant Sports Director: This position assists the sports director with the broadcast of live sports and the weekly sports talk program and helps with recruitment and training of sports reporting staff.
- Production Director: This position oversees the quality of all broadcasts from the production standpoint and works with the other KWVA departments to produce pre-recorded materials for broadcast. This position also coordinates the weekly Live Sessions band performances on Sundays.
- Marketing Director: The marketing director oversees all outreach activities, station promotion, social media, and relationships with venues and bands.
- Office Assistants: There are generally three to four office assistants who help with the daily clerical operations of KWVA.
