Oregon Men's Tennis Falls to 1-3 in Conference After Loss to ASU

The Ducks fell to the Arizona State Sun Devils 4-1 on Friday afternoon in their first of two match-ups with the Arizona schools. The Ducks only point came on their two doubles victories to start off match play. In the doubles, the #1 pairing of Cormac Clissold and Thomas Laurent won their 60th match as a duo and are now 60-13 all-time as a pairing. They are now two wins ahead of the old record set by Robin Cambier and Jeff Mullen, and hold the all-time doubles wins record as a duo in program history. As for the Sun Devils, they reeled off four straight singles wins to clinch the match victory. Those wins came at the #1, #2, #3, and #4 singles spots, not in this order. The Ducks are now 13-7 overall and fall to 1-3 in Pac-12 play, while the Sun Devils improve to 12-7 overall and 1-2 in conference. The Oregon Lacrosse team opened the second half of Pac-12 play with a big 21 to 8 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Ducks led in every major statistical category on the way to their seventh win of the season. Oregon was led by Jill Zubillaga, who tallied six scores, all in the first half of the game and helped Oregon to a 17-3 lead at halftime. The Ducks played a slew of different players in the second half, which allowed the Sun Devils to build a little momentum and outscore the Ducks 5-4. While the Sun Devils were never able to muster any consistency, they forced eight Duck-turnovers, which they were able to convert into points on two separate occasions.
