Oregon Quarterbacks Shine in Annual Spring Game

EUGENE, Ore. — It may not be fall in Eugene, but fans piled into Autzen Stadium for the annual spring game to get their first glimpse at the highly anticipated 2026 Oregon Ducks football team. You could not have asked for a better day in the place that never rains, with clear skies and 60-degree weather; it was a perfect day for the Ducks to showcase their new squad.

Eugene welcomed familiar faces with Tez Johnson and Deommodore Lenoir representing the Fighting Ducks (White) and Penei Sewell and Kayvon Thibodeaux serving as the head coaches for the Combat Ducks (Black).

“You’re trying to paint a vision for what it’s going to be like when you come play at Oregon,” Head Coach Dan Lanning said of what it means for the program for people to see the NFL alumni come back and players from last year get drafted. “I think that paints a great picture, this is a great weekend for Oregon and Eugene to be on display.”

With the Ducks being split in half, all eyes looked…

Former five-star quarterback makes his Autzen debut

EUGENE, Ore. — The spring game is always one of the best early looks at the future of a program and an opportunity to evaluate new faces, transfers, and rising stars. For the Oregon Ducks, much of the spotlight rightfully centers on quarterback Dante Moore. But arguably the most intriguing storyline is the debut of former five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola in front of the Eugene crowd.

Raiola transferred from Nebraska this offseason and was once viewed as a player capable of starting almost anywhere in the country. Instead, he made the surprising decision to step into a learning role behind Moore, betting on his development over the immediate spotlight.

Last season at Nebraska, Raiola threw for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns in just nine games before suffering an injury against USC. In that stretch, he showed not just arm talent but the command of an offense that made him one of the most coveted recruits in the country. So why transfer?

For Raiola, it came down to…

Estrada homers twice, Buckeyes snap Ducks’ win streak and steal series opener

EUGENE, Ore. — First baseman Kiki Estrada knocked her 14th and 15th home runs of the season, and the Ohio State Buckeyes (24–23, 10–8 Big Ten) snapped the No. 14 Oregon Ducks’ (36–10, 16–3) 12-game winning streak with a 3–0 victory at Jane Sanders Stadium on Friday evening.

Estrada, who finished 2-for-3 with the pair of homers, jumped on Lyndsey Grein in the fifth inning with a no-doubter into The Bob in centerfield, and later got her again by hitting one to a very similar spot of the ballpark in the sixth inning.

Grein (23–5) pitched a complete game despite the loss, allowing three runs with only two charged to her on four hits while striking out ten batters.

“I thought Lyndsey battled,” Oregon head coach Melyssa Lombardi said. “I thought she gave us an opportunity to win the entire game. It’s a tough team, they swing, they got power, and we knew that. But I just love the way she competed.”

Lombardi made it clear that the team needed to approach Estrada…

Ducks complete the season sweep over Oregon State

EUGENE, Ore. — A grey and cloudy Wednesday afternoon did not deter the No. 12 Oregon Ducks from shining bright in their third and final matchup against Oregon State, coming away with a 7-2 victory. The Ducks entered with resounding confidence, riding an 11-game win streak and coming off a series sweep against the rival Washington Huskies.

Oregon State looked to bounce back from a tough series sweep against Saint Mary’s University.

Oregon (36-9, 16-2) and Oregon State (17-30, 5-7) have met 205 times in their histories; Oregon leads the series (108-96-1) and has come out on top in the two matchups throughout the season.

Oregon got the party started early, shutting out the Beavers in their first at bat and succeeding their stellar defense with even better offense.

In the bottom of the first, the Ducks pinned three runs on the Beavers’ tails quickly, courtesy of a two-run double from Emma Cox that sent home Elon Butler and Amari Harper, and a Rylee McCoy…

Ducks sweep Huskies 3-1 for 11th straight win

EUGENE, Ore. — With a packed weekend celebrating 60 years of Oregon softball, the No. 13 Ducks faced off against the rival No. 18 Washington Huskies in a highly anticipated finale as fans packed Jane Sanders Stadium on Sunday. After taking the first two games of the series, Oregon (35-9, 16-2) entered the matchup looking to complete the sweep and cap off a memorable weekend, succeeding as they swept the Huskies 3-1.

Washington (34-12, 15-3) looked to carry over momentum from the previous game, where an early home run set the tone, but starting pitcher Lyndsey Grein shut that down quickly. Grein struck out Kaycie Burdick, who homered the day before to open the game, setting the tone for a scoreless top of the first as the Huskies failed to generate any runs.

“For me, I approach everyone the same,” Grein said. “Have respect for the opponent, but at the same time, everyone’s going to get my best that day.”

Oregon’s offense, however, also started slow. After two…

The No. 13 Oregon Ducks take the series with a 5-4 win over the No. 23 Washington Huskies

EUGENE, Ore. — On a day dedicated to celebrating 60 years of Oregon softball, with over 50 alumni in attendance, the Ducks put on a show in front of a packed 2,517 fans and gave them a reason to celebrate.

“It was so amazing to have all of our alumni out here and just connect with our fans throughout the entire day,” pitcher Elise Sokolsky said.

“The fans are the reason why I came here,” Oregon head coach Melyssa Lombardi said.

A perfect sunny spring Saturday in Eugene set the scene for another day of “Janesanity” as the No. 13 Oregon Ducks (34-9, 15-2 Big Ten) faced off against Pacific Northwest rivals, the No. 23 Washington Huskies (34-11, 15-2 Big Ten) in front of a packed Jane Sanders Stadium, filled with alumni. Oregon fell behind early, but quickly pulled in front and held onto the lead in style, to take Game 2 in a 5-4 win.

The Huskies started off the game with a home run on the very first batter, coming from Kaycie Burdick, putting Washington ahead…

Oregon lacross falls to USC, honors its seniors and turns focus to 2027

EUGENE, Ore. – The skies were almost entirely clear at Pape Field as USC defeated Oregon by a score of 15-10. Behind dominant performances from Hollis Mulry and Anna Regan, the Trojans looked like the better team as they finished off the regular season with a win. Oregon was looking to wrap up its season on a high note as they hosted the former Pac-12, now Big Ten rival — coming into Saturday on a seven game losing streak, with six of those opponents ranked in the nation's top 25. On the other side, the Trojans have had similar worries while being 1-6 in their last seven. It was the first and only conference win in the season for Southern California.

It was also senior day for the Ducks as six players – Rachel Pallo, Kylee Manser, Jenae Sperling, Jadyn Laing, Shelby Hahn and Anna Simmons – were honored following the match for their achievements, contributions and commitment to the team during their time in Eugene.

USC set the tone early as it came out and…

Ducks finish out the weekend on top after beating the Huskers 5-4

EUGENE, Ore. — No. 21 Oregon and No. 19 Nebraska both came into Sunday’s game looking to end the series 2-1. Oregon looked to have a repeat of its Friday 7-6 win, while the Huskers looked to prevail over the whole weekend after a 10-8 victory over the Ducks. Ultimately, Oregon was the one to come out on top in a 5-4 victory, putting them at 26-10 overall and 10-5 in the Big Ten.

Nebraska came into the day scoring early, with its third batter, first baseman Case Sanderson, scoring a home run. That was all the Cornhuskers were able to put up in the first after pitcher Case Scolari struck out shortstop Dylan Carey to end the inning. After an unsuccessful bottom of the first for the Ducks, the Cornhuskers ended the first on top with a score of 1-0.

Oregon didn’t allow any hits in the first after three strikeouts from Scolari, but one runner left on base after a hit by pitch. The Ducks came into the bottom of the second swinging, with right fielder Angel Laya…

Lauaki’s pair of home runs prove not enough as the Cornhuskers defeat the Ducks 10-8

EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 19 Nebraska Cornhuskers and No. 21 Oregon Ducks returned to PK Park on Saturday with an earlier first pitch than previously expected, presumably to combat the ever-looming Eugene precipitation. The show must go on, though, as there was hope for another thriller. Friday’s Big Ten matchup ended with a close 7-6 win for Oregon after a fairly lengthy weather day, but on Saturday, the Cornhuskers (27-8, 12-2) held on to take it 10-8.

The Ducks (25-19, 9-5) looked to replicate their winning ways without the help of ace pitcher Will Sanford and his 12 strikeouts. Instead, junior Collin Clarke was handed the start. Similar to Friday’s matchup, the Oregon offense started to buzz.

Within the first two innings, both sophomore Jax Gimenez and freshman Brayden Jaska reached home as a result of Ryan Cooney’s hot bat and quick RBIs. A leadoff double from freshman phenom Angel Laya and an RBI from Naulivou Lauaki Jr. put the Ducks ahead by five heading into the…

Weather delay lets Oregon baseball reset for win over Nebraska

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon has been highly praised for its ability to keep its win streak alive throughout several points during the regular season, and the Ducks hoped to establish another win streak with their series against No. 19 Nebraska (26-8, 11-2) on Friday. But the real question was, could they do it? Especially with the predicted forecast being nothing but rain and gloomy clouds, a seemingly foreboding sign.

No. 21 Oregon (25-9, 9-4) faced back-to-back losses last week against Michigan and Portland. It was vital for the Ducks to start this series off with a win, as it could potentially keep Oregon in the top five for best starts through 36 games after having their nine-game win streak broken back in February.

The Ducks weren’t the only ones wanting to start off the weekend with a bang. The Cornhuskers also wanted to break their losing streak, albeit only one game. Getting a win in the first game of the weekend sets the mood for the rest of the series,…
