Oregon Women's Basketball Advances to Sweet 16 with 101-73 Win Over Minnesota
The Ducks picked up where they left off in the First Round, jumping out to a 51-36 halftime lead thanks to a monstrous half from Sabrina Ionescu. Coming off her tenth career triple-double on Friday night, the sophomore had a hand in 24 of Oregon's 30 first-quarter points and would finish the half with 22 points of her own. It was far from a solo performance, however; as the Ducks' got 12 more points from Ruthy Hebard and shot an impressive 66%, or two-thirds, of their field goal attempts in the opening half. The Golden Gophers seemed to always have an answer to hold the Ducks from completely running away with the game, shooting 47% from beyond the arc, including four three-pointers and 14 points from Destiny Pitts. The Ducks continued their dominant play in the second half, shooting 57.1% from the field and outscoring the Golden Gophers 50-37 on their way to a 101-73 victory.
