BSB | Oregon Walks 10 Times in 4-3 Victory Over Loyola-Marymount

In the series opener against the Loyola Marymount Lions, Oregon’s offense managed 17 baserunners, and rode some clutch pitching to an air tight 4-3 victory. Oregon’s 17 baserunners included 7 singles AND 10 walks without a single extra base hit.

Oregon scored the first run on a Taylor Adams squeeze bunt in the 2nd inning. The Ducks would rally three more runs in the 6th inning on sloppy pitching from the Lions. Oregon scored twice on wild pitches, and a pinch hit sacrifice fly by Cameron Campbell gave them a 4 to 1 lead after 6.

Oregon’s starting pitcher Cullen Kafka allowed nine baserunners in his first four innings of work. Kafka only allowed one run and survived four stressful innings in a row thanks to seven strikeouts. After a clean 5th inning coach Horton was ready to pass it to the bullpen.

Robert Ahlstrom retired six straight batters in relief for the Ducks. Loyola Marymount swung back momentum in the 8th after reliever Brett Walker…

MBB: Second Half Takeover Propels Oregon To Victory Over ASU

An all around performance by Oregon Men’s Basketball lead to a 79-51 victory for the Ducks Thursday night.

Scoring was hard to come by for both the Ducks and Sun Devils in the first half. Over the first 10 minutes of the game Oregon shot 27% from the field and ASU shot 25%. Through those minutes Oregon only led the Sun Devils 16-10. However, Oregon got hot at the end of the first half, and shot just under 45% during the entirety of the first half to take a 34-26 lead. Louis King lead all scorers in the first half with 11 points, while Pritchard had 7 points.

In the second half the Ducks came out firing on all cylinders. Oregon scored the first 10 points in the half, and held ASU scoreless over the first 5:54 of the half. The Ducks jumped out to a 46-27 lead and never looked back, keeping the Pac-12’s leading offense, ASU, in check for the entire game. Oregon’s offense kept firing eventually increasing the lead to 25 points with just under three minutes…

WBB | Senior Night: Oregon's Second Half Explosion Propels the Ducks to a 96-78 Win Over USC.

Today, the No. 2 Oregon Ducks took on the unranked, 15-12, USC Trojans in what proved to be a bounce back game for the women in white and green after their loss to UCLA on Friday. It was senior night at Matthew Knight Arena, but it was the sophomores and juniors who held onto the spotlight against the Trojans. Led by Sabrina Ionescu, Erin Boley and the return of injured Ruthy Hebard, the Ducks cruised to a 96 to 78 win at home.

The first half was a mix of highs and lows for Oregon but they ultimately entered the break ahead 40-36. The first quarter was a blur of fast and loose play from both sides. The frantic, up and down flow of the game favored the fast break reliant Trojans, who led 27 to 25 at the end of the first. The second quarter was an entirely different story, the Ducks locked down on the defensive end and only allowed 2 points through the first 8 minutes of the second quarter. Energized by the entrance of Ruthy Hebard early in the first quarter, Oregon out-…

SB | No. 17 Oregon Cruises Past UCSB 6-1, Ends Mary Nutter 4-2

No. 17 Oregon Softball concluded their tour of Cathedral City, California on a winning note, earning an easy 6-1 win over UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, February 24 to finish the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic at 4-2. The Ducks used big performances by their vets to slide past the Gauchos, as senior April Utecht went 2-3 with a double, home run and three RBI, junior Haley Cruse reached base four times on a 1-1 day that featured three walks, and sophomore Shaye Bowden ended up 3-4 with two RBI. Jordan Dail also cruised from the circle, going six innings and allowing just one run on four hits, one walk, four strikeouts, and a hit-by-pitch. Fellow sophomore transfer Maddie MacGrandle put up a 1-2-3 bottom of the seventh in relief to close out the day.

On the weekend, the Ducks finish 4-2, with wins over New Mexico State, Army, Texas A&M, and the Gauchos to couple with losses versus Bethune-Cookman and No. 23 Texas Tech. Now 11-4, Oregon's next weekend will prove perhaps the…
