SB | No. 17 Oregon Blazes Past Army 11-0 in Run Rule Win
After no. 17 Oregon Softball split their first weekend of Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic play in Cathedral City, CA, the Ducks took to the field with fervor in their 11-0, five inning win against Army on Friday, February 22. Jordan Dail received the starting nod, tossing five scoreless innings to go with five hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts en route to a 7-0 record. From the plate, Oregon struck for four runs in the first inning without collecting a hit, doing their damage as starter Renee Poirier and reliever Jolie Duong combined for five walks and two hit-by-pitches in the frame. After a Cherish Burks solo-shot in the third, the Ducks secured the win on a six-run fourth inning, which saw UO collect six hits against Duong and Taylor Drayton, Army's third pitcher in the game. The win moves Oregon to 9-3 with three games remaining in the tournament, beginning with Texas A&M on Saturday, February 23 at 9 AM. After that, the Ducks close out with a 12 PM Saturday match-up…

SB | Oregon Up-and-Down in Mary Nutter Opening Day
No. 17 Oregon Softball split their first day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Thursday, February 21, taking down New Mexico State 3-1 before dropping a game to Bethune-Cookman in a 5-3 finish. Jordan Dail recorded a complete game win against the Aggies in the first game, while Maddie MacGrandle inconsistency forced Dail back into action during the second game. From the plate, Oregon struggled to find a big inning, and while three runs proved enough against NMSU, Bethune-Cookman opened up a 5-0 that the Ducks couldn't quite carve into enough. UO returns to action on Friday at 12:30 PM vs Army, before a Texas A&M - Texas Tech double-header on Saturday and a showdown with UCSB on Sunday.

After a 1-2 opening weekend road trip to No. 8 Texas Tech, Oregon baseball returns to Eugene for a four-game home opening series against St. Mary's. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. on Friday at PK Park. Despite dropping the series to the Red Raiders, the Ducks held early leads in all three games but couldn't sustain the home team's rallies. With early confidence already brewing at the plate, head coach George Horton and Oregon look to put both phases together this weekend before its own home crowd. But they'll need to do so without the regular starting rotation on the mound, with Kenyon Yovan struggling with hand discomfort Cole Stringer will start Friday's series opener instead. Listen below as Horton and the Ducks preview this weekend's series.

NCU BB: Beacons Lose In Heartbreaking Fashion To Southern Oregon, 78-77
In the quarterfinals of the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament, NCU Men’s Basketball lost in heart breaking fashion Wednesday night, 78-77.
It was a game of ebb and flows, which at first benefitted the Beacons, who at one point were up 30-17 midway through the first half. But then Southern Oregon, led by Tristen Holmes made a run of their own to get the game to within two points at the end of the first half.
In the second half it was much of the same. Southern Oregon went on another run to begin the second half. At one point in the second half Southern Oregon was up by 15 before going over six minutes without a basket, allowing NCU to claw their way back into the game.
With just under a minute remaining and NCU down 4, the Beacons had a chance. Austin Tyner was fouled and purposely missed the free throw to try and get another offensive possession before time ran out. He missed it, Sothern Oregon corralled the rebound, but then traveled,…
