Following the bye week, Mario Cristobal met with media to discuss the health of his team, the upcoming matchup against Cal, among other things. Cristobal noted that Mycah Pittman and Brendan Schooler are back practicing and appear to be active this week. #13 Oregon will be back at Autzen Stadium at 5:00 pm on Saturday for a matchup against Cal (4-1).

Following the bye week, Mario Cristobal met with media to discuss the health of his team, the upcoming matchup against Cal, among other things. Cristobal noted that Mycah Pittman and Brendan Schooler are back practicing and appear to be active this week. #13 Oregon will be back at Autzen Stadium at 5:00 pm on Saturday for a matchup against Cal (4-1).

VB | Oregon win home opener against Utes in five sets

After a heartbreaking loss to the Beavers in Corvallis, Oregon volleyball returned home for their home opener against the Utah Utes. And for the second time in two matches, the Ducks went the full five sets. The Ducks took the first two sets followed by Utah winning close in the third and then the fourth to send it to a deciding fifth. The Ducks went on to win the fifth set 15-13. The Duck veterans all were in double-digit kills. With Willow Johnson getting 18and Brooke Nuneviller and Ronika Stone getting 16 apiece. The Ducks now draw even at 1-1 in Pac-12 play and 5-6 overall. Up next the Ducks host the defending national champ Stanford Cardinal.

STORY: Oregon State VB Steals Win Late Over Ranked Ducks

The #24 Oregon Ducks were defeated by Oregon State for the first time since 2014. OSU opens Pac-12 play with a 1-0 record and breaks a three-match losing streak in a come-from-behind victory at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers won in set five with scores of 9-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Oregon crushed the Beavers 25-9 in set one behind six kills from Willow Johnson and five from Brooke Nuneviller. The Beavers responded in set two winning 25-19 with six kills from Haylie Bennett and five for Maddie Goings. Oregon surged back to grab a 2-1 lead on five kills from Nuneviller and three aces by Willow Johnson. OSU forced set five behind a consistent attack from Bennett and strong performances by Grace Massey and Maddie Sheehan. In set five Oregon led 13-9 before six consecutive points from the Beavers allowed them steal the victory in front of a roaring crowd.
