Story: Complete Effort Vaults Oregon Over Colorado
On a chilly Friday night at Autzen Stadium, the Oregon Ducks (5-1, 3-0) used a complete effort to earn their first 3-0 start to conference play since 2013. Seemingly all position groups contributed to Oregon's 45-3 beatdown of Colorado, as the offense erupted for 527 yards, while the defense held its opponent to single-digits for the fifth consecutive week.
Justin Herbert tossed two touchdowns and racked up 261 yards through the air while converting on 56% of his throws. The majority of the damage, however, was done on the ground, where Oregon exploded for 288 yards on 36 carries, good for an average of seven yards per rush. CJ Verdell had a breakout performance, leading the Ducks with 14 carries for 171 yards. Cyrus Habibi-Likio found the endzone three different times while rushing for 50 total yards.

Isaac Slade-Matautia has Became Focal Point on Stout Oregon Defense
Oregon's defense currently ranks inside the top 10 nationally in statistics such as points allowed, yards allowed, and passing yards allowed per game. A huge part of that success has been due to the play of Isaac Slade-Matautia, who is third on the team with 22 total tackles. Slade-Matautia carries a large weight being the MLB for Oregon's defense, but so far he has stepped up to the plate in his second season of play.

STORY: Cal's 88th Minute Goal Forces 1-1 Draw vs. Oregon Soccer
For 88 minutes, Oregon Soccer looked better than the California Golden Bears, and the scoreboard reflected that. With Oregon parking the bus, California was able to score their first goal in three games, as Caitlin Carter batted Mia Corbin's savable ball straight down, and in the net. Oregon out-shot Cal 22-17 on the night and seven of those shots for the Ducks were on goal. Cal's goalkeeper, Angelina Anderson, statistically one of the best goalkeepers in the country with her .816 save percentage, came up clutch for Cal on multiple occasions as she totaled seven saves. The lone goal for Oregon came in the 34th minute, as Zoe Hasenauer's left-footed shot snuck in the right side of the net. Oregon will be back in action on Sunday when they host the top-ranked Stanford Cardinal at noon.
