STORY: #12 Oregon Survives Saturday Scare to Cougs With Walk-Off Field Goal

Entering the night, kicker Camden Lewis was 2-5 in field goal attempts, which prompted questions as to whether he would be able to hit a big kick when Oregon needed him to. Lewis answered that question with a resounding yes on Saturday, as his last-second 26-yard field goal lifted Oregon to a 37-35 win over Washington State, breaking what had been a four-game losing streak to the Cougars. Lewis finished the day a perfect 3-3 in field goal attempts.

On a day that saw many in the top-15 nationally tumble, including the likes of Oklahoma, Auburn and Notre Dame, #12 Oregon was on upset alert for much of the night. Senior Quarterback Justin Herbert's nation-leading 35 game streak with a touchdown pass ended, as the Cougars held the Eugene native to only 222 yards through the air. Oregon's defense also gave up a season-high 406 yards through the air to Cougar Quarterback Anthony Gordon.

There was a script developing throughout the night that foreshadowed yet another…
