BSB STORY: Stoffal Strikes Again as the Ducks Defeat the Sun Devils 11-5
By: Jack McArthur
Jace Stoffal worked his usual Friday night magic tonight at PK Park. Stoffal allowed just two runs in six and two-thirds innings as Oregon’s starter. In addition to having another productive outing from Stoffal, the Ducks’ offense was scorching hot tonight. Oregon’s prolific offense crushed the Sun Devils today, with a final score of 11-5. Jace Stoffal was Oregon’s starter, while Jonah Giblin was the starting pitcher for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Entering Friday’s game, Stoffal had a 3.02 ERA while Giblin had a 5.09 ERA.
Stoffal started off the game striking out Kien Vu, followed by two quick outs for Oregon. In the first inning, it didn’t take the Ducks long to get on the board. Drew Cowley hit one out in the bottom of the first, putting Oregon on the board, as they led 1-0 early. During the bottom of the second inning, Giblin threw two balls in the dirt in a row. Arizona State’s pitching wasn’t productive tonight, as…

BSB STORY: Ducks Post Double-Digit Runs Again, Sweep Gonzaga With 10-5 Win
Written Story by Aiden Hess

EUGENE, Ore - Oregon Baseball completed a midweek two game series sweep of the Gonzaga Bulldogs with a 10-5 victory Wednesday night at PK Park. This was the fourth instance where the Ducks have squared off against the Spokane squad in the last two seasons. Success has been had for Oregon as they won both of the two prior season matchups in 2022 with the Bulldogs and have done the same in 2023. Following an 11 run performance in last night’s game, Oregon answered the call again with hot bats in timely moments scoring ten and sweeping their fifth different opponent at PK Park this season.
Turner Spoljaric was given the start on the mound for the Ducks in game two of the series. Spoljaric entered today with a record of 3-0 and a 4.76 ERA, things did not start off ideal for the righty pitcher from north of the border. Following a couple of first inning one out walks, Gonzaga right fielder…

Eugene, OR-- One thing that looked concerning before the season started for the Ducks was the strength of schedule they would face in regular season tournaments and playing in arguably the best conference in softball. As Oregon recently hopped into the top-15 this week, those worries have been erased. This will be an interesting weekend as the Ducks have four games instead of the regular three in this penultimate PAC-12 series against Cal in Berkeley. They’ll play one game in Stockton against Pacific on Thursday before its three-game set.
Oregon:Things are going about as perfect as possible for Oregon at the moment, with the pitching staff and offense firing on all cylinders. One of the big story lines over the past couple weeks is the dominance of Morgan Scott. With so much talk about how Stevie Hansen would have to carry the staff once again in 2023, Scott has made an argument that she might now be the ace for this…

STORY: Oregon Baseball avoids upset bid from Gonzaga, winning 11-4
Written Story by Griffin Bowes
Hovering around the bottom of the top 25 of the D1 rankings, the #23 Oregon Ducks have been struggling with inconsistent play. Heading into this series against Gonzaga, they desperately needed to right the ship and gain some momentum heading into the home stretch of the regular season. In the first game, Oregon escaped with a 11-4 win in which they were tested harder than the score would indicate.
Things didn't go as planned for the Ducks in the early going, as Gonzaga’s pitching was lights out and completely shut down Oregon’s offense. Outside of a home run in the 2nd by star player Tanner Smith, Oregon was in an offensive drought throughout the first 5 innings. During that span, they were only able to muster together 3 hits, including the homer. The Ducks’ pitchers were able to keep the game in reach, but their play was shaky at times. Jackson Pace did not have his best game, as he had a wild pitch in the 2nd inning that…
