AUDIO: Oregon Baseball Looking to Rebound from Civil War Sweep
The Oregon baseball team entered the weekend needing at least some type of NCAA tournament resume builder against their rivals and nationally ranked Oregon State Beavers. But the Ducks didn't breakthrough in the three game series, losing in a decisive sweep. With several weeks of baseball to be played, head coach George Horton and the Ducks are looking to put their recent stretch, which has seen them go 3-7 in their last 10 games, behind them. Oregon will get its chance in in the next seven days when the Ducks will host two midweek games, one this Wednesday against Portland and another against Oregon State in a unique non-PAC-12 meeting next Tuesday, along with a three game stint with USC sandwiched between them this coming weekend. Horton and his team spoke with the media Tuesday afternoon ahead of their upcoming home-stand, listen below to the full interviews.

Oregon Softball Completes the Sweep of Stanford with 4-1 Win
#4 Oregon completed its second series sweep of the Pac 12 season with a 4-1 victory over unranked Stanford. Miranda Elish, who also started and won game 1 of the series, threw a complete game gem, giving up only 2 hits and striking out 10. Elish surrendered the Ducks' 1 run lead in the top of the fourth on a deep home run from Whitney Burks. The Ducks answered back quickly, putting up 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning behind a Haley Cruse single, and a pinch-hit long ball from Shannon Rhodes. Oregon will travel up to Seattle next week and take on the top-ranked Washington Huskies, in a series that will likely feature two matchups between Megan Kleist and Taran Alvelo, a couple of the great arms in college softball today.
