Born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. Supreme Cook has spent the majority of his life on the East Coast of the United States. After having spent his first three seasons at Fairfield University in Connecticut and his fourth at Georgetown, Cook decided to take his talents way out west to Oregon ahead of his fifth year of eligibility

When the news of Cook’s decision to transfer was announced, it was viewed as a big recruiting pickup for a Ducks team that was looking to fill a major absence at the forward position following the departure of star center N’Faly Dante last season. Standing at a tall six-foot-nine and averaging a consistent 10 points and 7.6 rebounds over his four-year career, Cook is expected to be a key contributor in Oregon’s 2024-25 campaign.

Oregon benefitted from another cohesive team performance, where only center Nate Bittle shot the ball more than nine times. Sharing the love and playing team basketball leads this team to more dominant wins as it did on Sunday. When asked about the efficient night, head coach Dana Altman said the following.

“We’re just trying to find our tempo, and what we need to look for from three,” Altman said.

The biggest difference between Sunday’s game and the last game against Portland was the patience shown and the team’s ability to wait for the right shot. Against the Pilots, shots were forced and the team looked uncomfortable settling for contested looks. Sunday, the Ducks fought to move the ball.

When talking about Oregon Ducks’ offenses of the past some people might go straight to the quarterbacks of legend: Joey Harrington, Dennis Dixon, Marcus Mariota, Bo Nix, etc. But real Duck fans know where the consistency of the Oregon offense lies year in and year out: the running back room. 

In a 16-13 point win over the Badgers (5-5, 3-4 in Big Ten) on a cold November night in Madison, Wisconsin Oregon Ducks (11-0, 8-0 in Big Ten) running back Jordan James cemented his name on the all-time list of greats to carry the rock in green and yellow. 

The junior running back finished the game on Saturday with 25 carries for 121 yards and a massive touchdown that tied the score in the fourth quarter and gave the Ducks a chance to win the game late. 

“We felt like coming out of half we had to establish that run,” said Oregon head coach Dan Lanning. “He had some great runs tonight and there were some big holes up there…

The No. 11 Oregon Ducks looked to coast to a win against the unranked Northwestern Wildcats, but the Ducks were caught by surprise when, after a dominant first set, Northwestern took the second set, and followed by keeping up with Oregon in the third. 

In that third set, the Wildcats jumped on the Ducks by taking a 3-0 lead. After the Ducks rallied to make it 5-5, the two teams went back and forth the whole set. It looked like it was time for the Ducks to pull away up 19-15, but the Wildcats punched right back to tie it at 19. It continued to be closely contested until the fans at Matthew Knight Arena looked up to realize this match was deadlocked at 24. The crowd was rocking as it became 25-25, then 26-25, Oregon. 

With the support from the rowdy fans, an explosive block from Onye Ofoegbu and Noemie Glover iced the set for the Ducks and fueled them to a dominant fourth set to win the match.

The Oregon Ducks (3-0) came into a Tuesday night bout with the Portland Pilots (1-2)  looking to build on the momentum they sparked in Friday night's massacre of the Montana Grizzlies. The Pilots, meanwhile, attempted to bounce back from a 41-point loss to UC Santa Barbara at home this past Saturday.

Oregon started strong defensively, forcing some long possessions with two shot clock violations by the Pilots through the first five minutes. 

Stout defense from Oregon helped it keep the lead but the offense struggled to get going early on. The Ducks shot just 37 percent from the field and 28 percent from 3 through the first 10 minutes. But Portland’s even worse 33 percent from the field and 14 percent from distance gave Oregon some room for error.

The men’s basketball game between the Oregon Ducks (3-0) and Portland Pilots (1-2) was not a great one for hoops fans. Despite what the final score of 80-70 would suggest, the matchup was more defined by bricks than buckets. For example,  with five minutes remaining in the first half, a Jackson Shelstad 3-pointer was waved off after review for being a shot clock violation.

The first half of the game was ugly. Both teams had offensive struggles from the beginning, combining to shoot 11 of 33 in the first 10 minutes of the game. But while the Pilots trended upwards, the Ducks got worse as the period progressed. Oregon was actually ahead for the majority of play but went ice cold with about seven minutes remaining and ended the half shooting 27 percent. The No. 1 Oregon Ducks (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) and the Maryland Terrapins (4-5, 1-5 Big Ten) faced off for the first time on a cloudy Saturday evening at Autzen Stadium. It wasn’t the cleanest of games for the Ducks. They still took care of business thanks to defensive end Jordan Burch, who forced a fumble resulting in an Oregon touchdown and a swing of momentum, as well as Terrance Ferguson, who made six catches for 35 yards, including the 178th touchdown of Dillon Gabriel's career to tie the NCAA all-time record. 

Leading up to the Michigan game, Burch had missed three consecutive games harboring a knee injury and even during the game against the Wolverines he looked banged up. 

Coming into the game last against Maryland he was said to be full strength. His presence made life tough for Terrapin quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. 

Despite Oregon having the lead, Maryland had the momentum throughout the first quarter…
