STORY: Oregon WBB Dominates Utah 85-43, Moves to 4-0
Oregon Women's Basketball (4-0, 2-0) held nothing back in its second game of Pac-12 play on Sunday, clobbering the Utah Utes (0-1, 0-1) 85-43. Utah traveled to Eugene for its first game of the season, and the offseason rust was apparent as the Utes were held to 29% shooting, including a somber 17% shooting in the first quarter. Oregon came out rusty in the first quarter as well with 7 turnovers but managed to jump out to a 20-4 lead and never looked back. Erin Boley (17 pts) helped the Ducks jump out of the gates with 13 first-quarter points. As the game continued, other Ducks including Te-Hina Paopao (17 pts, 4 assists), Nyara Sabally (7 pts, 8 rebounds), Jaz Shelley (11 pts), and Sydney Parrish (12 pts) contributed nicely en route to a dominant second half. Oregon continued to stretch the lead behind suffocating defense and impressive depth and led by as much as 53 in the second half. Utah was led Niyah Becker (11 pts) offensively.
The Ducks were without Sedona Prince (…

Nyara Sabally has arrived.
The 6'5 redshirt sophomore led the way in Friday's game putting up 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. The Buffaloes had no answer for her all night as she shot a perfect 9-9 from the field and wreaked havoc all night.
"I thought it would take me a little to get acclimated," said Sabally with laugh when asked if she expected this type of production from herself so early. "I know the teams are really, really good (in the Pac-12) so I was just really glad to come out and play the way I know I can play."
Sabally's presence was felt immediately as she scored the first five points for the Ducks to start…

WBB | New Faces but Familiar Result in 116-51 Victory
Oregon opened the 2020/21 campaign with a commanding 116-51 win over Seattle University at Matthew Knight Arena Saturday afternoon. While 2020 is the year of unpredictability, Oregon starting the season with a commanding win gave a sense of familiarity, the Ducks eighth consecutive win to open a season. Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally, and Ruthy Hebard no longer dawn the Oregon green and yellow yet new faces establish themselves quickly. All 13 Ducks played today and nine Oregon players played their first minutes as Ducks today.
Before an official contest was even played Oregon Head Coach Kelly Graves raved about the shooting his squad offered and it manifested immediately from Maryland transfer Taylor Mikesell. Mikesell, a 42% career three-point shooter, drilled seven threes in a row just 16 minutes into her Oregon career. At the halftime break Mikesell was 7-8 from three-land and broke her own personal record for threes in contest, seven, with a new record of eight.…
