Story: Oregon Men’s Basketball Demolishes Portland 80-41 at home

At Matthew Knight Arena on Saturday, the Oregon Ducks dismantled the Portland Pilots by a score of 80-41. This marked the 6th win on the season for the Ducks who have been rolling through their non-conference slate after dropping their season opener against Missouri. Portland, who came into Saturday’s contest also with a record of 5-1 was simply out matched by the Ducks’ physicality on both sides of the ball. Just a week ago, the Pilots took down Oregon’s pac-12 foe in the Oregon State Beavers in OT, but tonight, Portland was simply outmatched. 

A big storyline coming into Saturday’s game revolved around the absence of Center N’Faly Dante. Unfortunately for the Ducks, it was reported shortly before the tipoff that Dante suffered a season ending ACL tear. With the lack of a true center, Oregon started the game with 4 players listed at 6’6” and Amauri Hardy who is 6’2”. Surprisingly, the Ducks did not miss Dante at all in their…
