STORY: Oregon Ducks Women's Volleyball Sweeps UCLA to Split Season Series 1-1
Written Story: Walter Hines

UCLA seemed to be just offbeat, and the Ducks capitalized staying hot all match with an increase in effort plays from Friday. “Our movement was really good and we picked up a lot of balls that we didn’t pick up Friday, and I thought that showed UCLA that your going to have a hard time scoring tonight, and set the tone for us early,” Coach Matt Ulmer stated.
The Ducks were able to ride the hot hands of Gloria Mutiri and Taylor Borup who finished with 22 kills total and a hitting percentage of 42.5%. But cohesive team play led the Ducks to the win this afternoon…

Story: Oregon’s 3-Point Woes Continue in Route of Washington
By: Xaiver Aguiar
“I think we are good shooters and, we are going to keep shooting the ball,” said an emphatic Kelly Graves when asked about the team's troubles from beyond the arc after the game.
This contest marked the third straight game the Ducks shot under 30% as a team from downtown. Oregon came into the season touted as one of the premier shooting teams in college basketball. Even with the departures, the program faced, there was still a plethora of shooting talent that lined the roster. Taylor Chavez led the conference last year in 3 point percentage, and fellow guards Jaz Shelly and Taylor Mikesell are known for their shooting prowess.
The quality of the three-point attempts coach Graves mentioned was not the issue. There were great kick-out passes to wide-open women, but they were not able to find the mark. Taylor Mikesell was visibly rushing her shots, as she was not getting her feet set and hurrying her form. Jaz Shelly passed up…

Oregon Men's Basketball falls to 9-3 after being defeated by the Oregon State Beavers. Oregon was forced to play without key starters LJ Figueroa and Chris Duarte due to COVID-19 protocol. Duarte and Figueroa were missed greatly as the Ducks shot 28% (8-29) from the three point line and out rebounded 42-23. Eugene Omoruyi (15 pts, 9 rebs), Jalen Terry (13 pts, 5-7 FG) and Eric Williams (11 pts, 3-10 FG) were the key contributors for the Ducks. Jarod Lucas (13 pts, 3-6 3FG), Ethan Thompson (19 pts, 12-14 FT) and Warith Alatishe (14 pts,16 rebs) paced Oregon State to victory.
Oregon was able to match Oregon State's scoring through the first 10 minutes until back to back threes by Jarod Lucas and Gianni Hunt propelled the Beavers to a 9 point lead. The Ducks were struggling immensely until a Lok Wur block lead to an Eric Williams dunk on the other end. The Ducks entered the second half down 6 while only shooting 39% from the field. The momentum from the end of the first…
