Ducks Light It Up in Late Night Contest
Oregon defeated Florida A&M 87-66 Wednesday night at Matthew Knight Arena to move to 3-1 on the season. Oregon, who extended their home winning streak to 24, had a rare 8 PM tip-off against an unfamiliar Florida A&M in a game that was scheduled just three days prior. N’Faly Dante led the way with 22 points, Ducks Guard Chris Duarte finished with 23 points, and Evins Desir dropped a team-high 11 for Florida A&M. Each team came out hot with the Rattlers showing their chops outscoring the Ducks through five minutes and starting an impressive 5-7 from the field. The positives largely stopped there for the team from Tallahassee as Oregon proceeded to make the rest of the first half their own. N’Faly Dante surpassed his then career-high with 14 in the first half. Dante and the Ducks set their presence in the paint through 20 minutes with 17 rebounds, 8 on the offensive glass.
Oregon came out of the locker room in the second half to put the game further into the…

Oregon Men's Basketball was able to scratch across a 69-52 win against the Eastern Washington Eagles, but it wasn't due to an offensive onslaught. Dana Altman brought his prototypical zone defense to neutralize EWU's offense that gave Washington State and Arizona a run for their money last week.
Eastern Washington struggled to get anything going offensively, shooting 33.3% from the field and 19.2% from deep while turning the ball over 11 times. Despite the offensive struggles for EWU, the Eagles stayed close for most of the game forcing the Ducks into 14 turnovers and shooting a poor percentage in the first half and majority of the 2nd half.
Oregon is now preparing to face off against an 0-2 Florida A&M on Wednesday at Matthew Knight Arena.

Oregon Women's Basketball (4-0, 2-0) held nothing back in its second game of Pac-12 play on Sunday, clobbering the Utah Utes (0-1, 0-1) 85-43. Utah traveled to Eugene for its first game of the season, and the offseason rust was apparent as the Utes were held to 29% shooting, including a somber 17% shooting in the first quarter. Oregon came out rusty in the first quarter as well with 7 turnovers but managed to jump out to a 20-4 lead and never looked back. Erin Boley (17 pts) helped the Ducks jump out of the gates with 13 first-quarter points. As the game continued, other Ducks including Te-Hina Paopao (17 pts, 4 assists), Nyara Sabally (7 pts, 8 rebounds), Jaz Shelley (11 pts), and Sydney Parrish (12 pts) contributed nicely en route to a dominant second half. Oregon continued to stretch the lead behind suffocating defense and impressive depth and led by as much as 53 in the second half. Utah was led Niyah Becker (11 pts) offensively.
The Ducks were without Sedona Prince (…
