Story: Oregon Women's Basketball ends 27 game home winning streak
By: Jonah Rosenberg
Coming into Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday, the Oregon ducks were undefeated. After taking care of business Friday night against USC, the Ducks saw their 27 game home unbeaten streak slip away Sunday against UCLA as the Bruins(6-2) escaped with a 73-71 victory over the Ducks(8-1). Oregon found themselves trailing at the end of each quarter, but played competitively throughout the entire game. After three consecutive turnovers in the final 25 seconds of the game, Oregon had the ball with 7 seconds left on the clock down 2. A Te-Hina Paopao drive down the middle resulted in a jump ball which all but sealed the UCLA win.
The UCLA Bruins were led entirely by their two headed attack of Charisma Osborne and Michaela Onyenwere who scored 22 and 33 points respectively. Lauryn Miller was the only bruin to score more than once as she added 5 points of her own. In a career day, Onyenwere was everywhere on the court for the Bruins this…

Eugene Omuruyi (15 points, 5-11 FG) and LJ Figeroa (13 pts, 12 rebs) also were large contributors to the Ducks victory. Stanford’s lone bright spot was Bryce Wills who accumulated 12 points and 6 assists.
Oregon began the game 0-6 from 3 point land and struggled to generate effective offense. Stanford drove hard to the paint, using their clear size advantage to gain the lead for a large majority of the first half. Even after shooting in the low 30s for nearly the entire first half, the Ducks only found themselves down 2 at the break. That was in large part to the Cardinals turnover woes, as they amassed 12 in the first 20 minutes.
The game was tied at 36 with about 16 minutes left, and it appeared this would be…
