SB: Ducks Can't Finish Sweep, Fall to Sun Devils 4-0 in Series Finale

After outscoring No. 7 Arizona State 14-1 through two games, No. 3 Oregon softball could not score once and mustered just three hits in a 4-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon in Tempe, Arizona. Oregon's Megan Kleist allowed one run in two innings before being replaced by Maggie Balint, who gave up two runs in just over an inning of work before Miranda Elish came out of the bullpen in the fourth inning, making Sunday the first time since the 2017 Women's College World Series those three have pitched in a single game. Giselle 'G' Juarez dominated the Ducks, throwing her 10th complete game shutout of 2018, limiting Oregon to just three hits while striking out seven and walking one, and improvement in every area from her Friday night loss. The defeat snaps Oregon's eight-game winning streak and the Ducks fall to 34-7 and 9-3 in Pac-12 play while Arizona State avoids being swept and improves to 34-7 and 8-4 in conference. Oregon returns home for a four-game week starting on Thursday when the… Continue with SB: Ducks Can't Finish Sweep, Fall to Sun Devils 4-0 in Series Finale.
