MBB: Elijah Brown, Ducks defeat Arizona Wildcats after heated OT battle

Oregon Men's basketball seals the win, but needed overtime to overcome the Arizona Wildcats Saturday night at Matthew Knight Arena. Their 98-93 win came on senior night that honored, Roman Sorkin, Mikyle McIntosh and Elijah Brown. Yet, the Wildcats did not cut any slack, starting the game on fire, making their first seven baskets but with the help of three-point hot hand, Elijah Brown, the Ducks slowly gained control. Brown finished with 30 points. It was not easy with Arizona center and NBA prospect, Deandre Ayton leading the Wildcats with 28 points and 16 rebounds. Ayton has recently been linked with an NCAA scandal, involving paying players alongside Head Coach Sean Miller. Ayton and company heard jeers throughout which gave the Duck fans an extra incentive to make noise. After a heated overtime battle with the Wildcats, the Ducks earn their ninth win in Pac 12 play and nineteenth overall. Oregon Men's Tennis Sweeps the Weekend by Beating Gonzaga in the Second Match

The Ducks were able to go 2-0 on Saturday after winning their second match of the day by defeating Gonzaga 4-0. The doubles were solid once again as the Ducks were able to get victories at the #2 and #3 spots. Thomas Laurent and Cormac Clissold won 6-4 at the #2 spot and the pair of Ty Gentry and Simon Stevens won 6-3 at the #3 spot. Also, the Ducks were able to clinch the match victory with three straight singles wins just like they did earlier in the day. One of those players to win his singles match was Cormac Clissold, who recorded his 11th straight singles win and is now 7-0 in singles dual play. The Ducks were able to sweep the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks 4-0 en route to victory in their first match of a Saturday double-header. The Ducks were strong in the doubles, as the #1 pairing of Junior Armando Soemarno and Freshman Charles Roberts were able to win 7-6 (1). Also at the #2 spot, the pairing of Thomas Laurent and Cormac Clissold were able to secure a 6-2 win. Those two victories put the Ducks up 1-0 on the scoreboard and from there they did not look back. Oregon won the first three singles matches in convincing fashion and secured the match victory. Cormac Clissold was one of the players to finish his match and win in the singles, and as a result of that recorded his 10th straight singles win and remains undefeated in dual play with a 6-0 record. MBB: Oregon end losing streak, defeat Sun Devils

Oregon Men's Basketball got back into the win column Thursday night, following a 75-68 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks' two previous games against UCLA and Southern California were losses by a combined total of eight points. Oregon starting guard, Elijah Brown and forward Mikyle McIntosh lead the Ducks in scoring Thursday night with nineteen points and sixteen points, respectively. The win against the Sun Devils improves the Ducks' Pac 12 record to 8-7. Their next game will be Saturday at 7:15 p.m. in Matthew Knight Arena against Deandre Ayton and the Arizona Wildcats.
