The Ducks were able to sweep the Arizona Wildcats on Sunday afternoon, who remain winless in conference at 0-5. It started with the doubles, as the #1 duo of Cormac Clissold and Thomas Laurent were able to get the 6-4 win. The Ducks took the loss at the #2 spot, but Simon Stevens and Ty Gentry picked up the slack at the #3 spot, getting the 6-4 victory to clinch the doubles point. In the singles, it was all Oregon, as the team picked up wins at the #1, #5, and #6 spots. Recording those wins were Thomas Laurent, Ty Gentry, and Riki Oshima. The Ducks are now 14-7 overall and 2-3 in conference, while the Wildcats fall to 15-11 overall and 0-5 in the Pac-12. The Ducks play next on Saturday, April 14 at Utah. The Oregon Ducks Track and Field team opened up at Hayward Field on Saturday for the Pepsi Team Invitational against the Washington Huskies, Washington State Cougars, and BYU Cougars. Oregon walked away with titles on both sides and had impressive performances all across the board. The Women's team won the meet in dominant fashion and came out strong from the beginning. Kiana Phelps won the first event of the day in the Women's Discus, while Madddie Rabing won the women's hammer. Those two later went 2-3 in the women's shot put as well. To start the running events, Oregon's 4x100 relay teams went 1-2 in which was just the start of the dominant day of sprints for Oregon. The Women would go on to go 1-2 in the 100 meter, 1-2 in the long jump, and a dominating 1-5 finish in the 200 meter. The women of Oregon ultimately won the meet by 33 points. Behind superb pitching from starters, Matt Mercer and Kenyon Yovan, the Oregon Ducks were able to win both games of the doubleheader against the Washington State Cougars, and secure their second series victory of the Pac 12 season. In the first game, Oregon failed to record a hit past the 3rd inning but was able to hang on to win 2-1. In the second game, Daniel Patzlaff cranked his first homer of the season and gave Oregon critical insurance runs en route to a 4-2 win. Mercer, in game one, totaled 6 IP, giving up only 1 run on 2 hits, while in game 2, Yovan remained undefeated in starts this season, throwing 7 IP,  surrendering only 1 run, and striking out 8. Ryne Nelson closed out both games for the Ducks and earned his 3rd and 4th saves of the season. Despite the pitching dominance, the offense failed to score runs after the 3rd inning in both contests. As for the Sun Devils, they reeled off four straight singles wins to clinch the match victory. Those wins came at the #1, #2, #3, and #4 singles spots, not in this order. The Ducks are now 13-7 overall and fall to 1-3 in Pac-12 play, while the Sun Devils improve to 12-7 overall and 1-2 in conference.
