After losing their first two matches of the season to top 3 teams in Texas and Nebraska at the Vert Challenge, the Ducks were able to turn things around and get their first win of the season in their home opener. Thanks in large part to a 5-0 and 6-0 run during the the middle and end parts of set 1, and a huge, 13-0 run in the second set, the Ducks were able to win in comfortable fashion. Oregon finished with a scoreline of 25-15, 25-10, 25-13, and this resulted in two of their players recording double digit kills. Ronika Stone led the match with 15 kills, while Lindsey Vander Weide was right behind her with 11. The Ducks will look to continue to find their groove this weekend, as they host the Oregon Classic.
