MBB | Oregon Wins Second Meeting in as Many Years With The Vikings

The Ducks were able to win their second meeting in as many years against the Portland State Vikings, taking it 84-57. With the return of Payton Pritchard and Paul White in the starting lineup, the Ducks looked like a more comfortable team on both sides of the ball, as Payton Pritchard recorded 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Paul White also chipped in 15 points, 3 rebounds, and a blocked shot. On the defensive side, the Ducks continued to look like a very intimating force in the paint, as Bol Bol and Kenny Wooten combined for 4 blocks, leading the team to 7 total blocks. For the Vikings, they now fall to 7-53 all-time against current teams in the Pac-12 Conference, as last year's Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year Holland Woods struggled to get it going on the offensive end, finishing with 13 points on 5-16 shooting from the fleld. Jamie Orme was the only other Viking in double figures with 11. The Vikings now fall to 0-1 on the season, as the Ducks improve to 1-0 and will… Read More

AUDIO: Oregon Football Prepares for Conference's Top Rushing Defense

It'll be a clash of strength this Saturday in Salt Lake City when Oregon football brings its ground attack to meet the Pac-12's top rushing defense in Utah. For the Ducks, it's also an opportunity to put their offensive road woes behind them. At both Washington State and Arizona, Oregon failed to run for 100 yards and scored under 30 points for the only two times this year. After CJ Verdell led the team in rushing last week with 90 yards, Oregon has also failed to find a back to go for over a 100 yards since its win over Washington. Listen below as offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo discusses the challenges facing Oregon's offense this week in Utah. Offensive Coordinator Marcus Arroyo Read More

The Oregon mens' basketball team opens the 2018-2019 regular season on Tuesday night with in-state foe Portland State. The game will mark the debut of the highest ranked recruiting class in program history, headlined by five-star Bol Bol, who stands at a stagger 7 foot 2. The Ducks enter their ninth season under head coach Dana Altman with the No. 14 ranking in the AP's preseason poll and were selected by the Pac-12 media to win the conference. Oregon plays at Matthew Knight Arena again on Friday night when the Ducks host Eastern Washington. AUDIO: Oregon Football Hits the Road to Salt Lake City

Oregon football (6-3, 3-3 in Pac-12) hits the road again this weekend following a one game home-stand that resulted in a 42-21 win over UCLA (2-7, 2-4 in Pac-12). Next up for Oregon is Utah (6-3, 4-3), which had its 38-20 loss last Saturday against Arizona State compounded with starting quarterback Tyler Huntley breaking his collarbone. The Ducks bring a defense that forced three turnovers against the Bruins this past Saturday into the matchup with Utah's backup quarterback, and Oregon turned each of those three turnovers into seven points the other way. Justin Herbert and Dillon Mitchell lead Oregon's offensive resurgence, with the junior receiver grabbing eight receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Herbert went 18-32 for 264 yards and two touchdowns. Herbert and Mitchell look to bring that same production away from the comfort of Autzen Stadium and into Salt Lake City. But the Ducks will have to do that without starting center Jake Hanson for the first half, who was ejected… Read More

VB: Oregon Volleyball Bounces Back To Win Three Straight Sets To Beat UCLA

For the second time this season, Oregon came back to win the match after losing the first set. Last time, it was September 22nd as the Ducks took town Washington State in five sets, except Sunday afternoon it only took four stets for the #16 Oregon Ducks to take down #22 UCLA, 21-25, 25-14, 25-16, 27-25. Sunday afternoon's performance required four Oregon players to record double doubles- the first time this season. Oregon held the Bruins to a .077 hitting percentage and out-killed the Bruins 56-41. UO outscored the Bruins 50-30 in sets two and three, largely due to excellent blocking. The Ducks had 15 total team blocks compared to UCLA's seven. Oregon will have to regroup quickly as they travel to take on the Bay Area schools, beginning Thursday at 8 pm with a bout with the Pac 12's best Stanford Cardinal.
