Oregon Volleyball Wins Five Set Road Thriller Over Washington

Oregon Volleyball won a thrilling five set victory over the Washington Huskies in Seattle. Washington had won five of their last six matches, and were determined to defeat the Ducks on senior night. The Ducks struggled early, coming out flat and losing set one 25-16, The Huskies hit .385 and served four aces in that set. Oregon came back strong though, winning set two 25-23 behind an impressive 18 kills, six of which came from Willow Johnson. Set three was one of Oregon's worse sets of the season as the Huskies ran all over the Ducks 25-12 behind seven kills from Kara Bajema.  Washington hit an astounding .556 in that set, taking advantage of Oregon's poor defense. STORY: An Unlikely Star Against Arizona State, Gus Cumberlander Finds a Role with Oregon Football

Entering last Saturday's matchup with Arizona State, Gus Cumberlander had recorded just 10 career tackles his first 22 career games along Oregon's defensive line. Four quarters of football later and an injury to senior Jalen Jelks that sprung the redshirt junior into the rotation and he had added three more tackles, including two momentous sacks and a fumble recovery that sealed the narrow 31-29 victory after La'Mar Winston Jr. came off the edge and stripped the ball from Manny Wilkins. MBB | Ducks Win Narrowly Against Green Bay 83-72

#21 Oregon Ducks defeated the Green Bay Phoenix 83-72 at Matthew Knight Arena on Tuesday night. Ducks improve to 4-1 on the season and 3rd win at home. Oregon took the lead 4-3 with 19:21 in the first half and lead by as many as 17 at points. The Ducks relied on freshman center Bol Bol who contributed 21 points on 8 of 12 shooting. Along with dynamic scoring, Bol also controlled the glass as he lead the team in rebounding. Overall the Ducks shot 47% from the field on 22 of 47 shooting with 6 of those scores coming from the perimeter. Aside from Bol Bol's scoring, sophomore Kenny Wooten achieved a personal milestone by getting his 100th block as a Duck. He finished with a game high 4 blocks which increases his total to 8 on the year. The Ducks lead 38-29 at the end of the first half, but the Green Bay Phoenix made their push in the 2nd.
