WBB | Stars Shine in Oregon's Blowout of Washington State

Scoring came easily in No. 5 Oregon's 98-58 win over Washington State, as Ruthy Hebard's career-high 34 points on 16-21 shooting and Sabrina Ionescu's 15th career triple-double lifted Oregon to their sixth consecutive win.

The Ducks jumped out to a 49-29 halftime lead thanks to Satou Sabally, who finished with 25 points on the afternoon, and Ruthy Hebard, who were successful in utilizing favorable matchups en route to a combined for 33 of Oregon's 49 first-half points. In the second half, Sabrina Ionescu looked to create more for herself, as the Junior scored 11 of her 17 total points on 5-7 shooting from the field.

Oregon held Washington State to 39 percent shooting from the floor, including holding their leading scorer, Borislava Hristova, largely in check. Hristova's streak of eight consecutive games with 15 or more points came to an end on Sunday, as she finished with 13.

Oregon will travel down south to play the LA schools next week, starting…

MBB | Oregon's Civil War Comeback Falls Short in PAC-12 Opener

Despite clawing back to lead in the final minutes after trailing by as much as 18 on Saturday night, Oregon men's basketball's comeback bid fell short in a 77-72 loss at home against Oregon State in the 2019 PAC-12 opener. Tres Tinkle led the 351st Civil War Series with 28 points on 9-13 shooting, while the Ducks were led by freshman Louis King, who tallied his first double-double with a team and career-high of both 17 points and 10 rebounds. Saturday was Oregon's first game since the news of Bol Bol's injury ending his season and Abu Kigab's announcement that he's transferring to Boise State.

While the Ducks ran out a new look in its starting five, both offenses started strong on Saturday night, with each side hitting above 50% of its shots from the field and getting contributions from four different players at the first media timeout. But without its twin towers of Bol Bol and Kenny Wooten down low, the Ducks struggled to protect the paint, where the Beavers racked up…

WBB | Career Nights Propel No. 5 Oregon to Victory in PAC-12 Opener

No. 5 Oregon women's basketball held on for a 84-71 win over Washington in its 2019 PAC-12 opener thanks to a pair of career-bests from Erin Boley and Satou Sabally. Oregon put the Huskies in an early hole thanks to the red-hot start from Boley. Oregon built a double-digit lead that grew to as much as 17 in the opening period while the former Notre Dame transfer scored 19 of the Ducks' 23 first quarter points on 7-8 shooting, going 5-6 from beyond the arc. Washington cut into the lead with an 8-0 run to end the quarter and scored another 10 unanswered to open the second and take the lead at 24-23. FB | Oregon Struggles Past Michigan State 7-6 in Redbox Bowl

In college football's lowest-scoring bowl game of 2018, the Oregon Ducks outlasted Michigan State 7-6 in the Redbox Bowl at Levi's Stadium on New Year's Day. Neither team scored until Michigan State's 34-yard field goal more than five minutes into the second half, while Oregon was held scoreless absent Dillon Mitchell's game-winning 28-yard touchdown snare with 11:19 to go in the match-up. In between those two scores, Michigan State knocked another 34-yarder through the uprights to cap the day's scoring.

A game that some billed as a great Oregon offense versus a great Michigan State defense, the Redbox Bowl instead saw two dominant defenses and scuffling special teams units battle for field position throughout the day and especially in the first half. All of Oregon's first-half drives ended in Blake Maimone punts, as Oregon scraped together 90 yards. Michigan State managed 169 yards, but a turnover on downs and an interception - a terrific diving effort by freshman safety…
