Oregon Football spoke to the media on Thursday, December 27, the first time the team has appeared in front of microphones since quarterback Justin Herbert's announcement that he would be returning for his senior year. However, most of the talk following the team's Redbox Bowl practice at City College of San Francisco centered on their match-up with the Michigan State Spartans on New Year's Eve, as Herbert delayed discussing his decision until after the bowl. No. 7 Oregon Women's Basketball put together a complete performance on Friday, December 21, decimating the UC Irvine Anteaters in a 115-69 blowout inside Matthew Knight Arena. Sabrina Ionescu stole the spotlight with her second triple-double (13 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists) in as many days, but plenty of Ducks had memorable performances in the monstrous victory. Satou Sabally led all scorers with 27 points on 11-16 shooting, chipping in 6 boards to boot, while Ruthy Hebard earned a first-half double-double to finish with 23 points (11-12 from the floor), 15 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Both teams came out firing from the field, as Oregon went 12-15 shooting in the first frame and UCI shot a clean 50 percent (10-20). Sabrina Ionescu stayed in the spotlight for no. 7 Oregon Women's Basketball, earning her NCAA-leading 13th triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists to lead the Ducks past Air Force 82-36 on Thursday, December 20. The triple-double pushed the junior guard past former BYU men's guard Kyle Collinsworth for the all-time record.

Ionescu piled on the rebounds and assists early, with 7 and 9, respectively, by the midway point in the 2nd quarter. Forward Ruthy Hebard led the game with 20 points on a flawless 9-9 performance from the floor, tacking on 5 boards and 3 assists to boot. With a tough, gritty performance on Tuesday night in Matthew Knight Arena, No. 7 Oregon women's basketball knocked off No. 4 Mississippi state 82-74. Sabrina Ionsecu led the way with 29 points, 17 of which came from the line, while Maite Cazorla added 20 of her own. It marks the first non-conference regular season loss for the Bulldogs after 46 consecutive wins. 

In a matchup of the nation's top scoring offenses, Tuesday's opening quarter didn't disappoint.
