Story: Oregon Soccer Excels On Both Ends Against Villanova

Oregon Soccer remains perfect on their home turf after beating Villanova 4-0. Kat Mertz's side treated the fans at Papé Field to Oregon's first clean sheet on the season and didn't disappoint on the offensive end either. In each contest this weekend the Ducks scored four goals, and in each game the goals came from four different players. In tonight's match Ally Cook and Maggie Lacy picked up their first goals as Ducks, Maya Hahn scored her second goal in as many games, and Jordan Wormdahl scored her 5th goal of the season when she finished the layoff pass from strike-partner Emma Eddy in the 30th minute. Wormdahl, a Eugene native, became just the third Oregon soccer player of all time to score in four consecutive matches and the first since 2010. To go along with Wormdahls feat, Katelyn Carter played the full 90 minutes and picked up her first clean sheet of the season, possibly a hint towards Carter being named the starting keeper soon. STORY: Oregon Volleyball Picks Up Another Sweep to Close Oregon Classic

Oregon Volleyball defeated Boston College 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-16) to close out a dominant weekend and start the season 2-0. Oregon didn't look quite as flawless as it did on Friday night, but were able to keep it comfortable throughout the match. The Ducks were once again led by seniors Ronika Stone (13 kills, .417, 4 digs, 2 blocks) and Willow Johnson (14 kills, .591, 10 digs). Behind the attacking of their senior leaders, Oregon hit .318 as a team. Brooke Nuneviller added 9 kills on .214 hitting, to go with 10 digs. Redshirt freshman Kylie Robinson boasted 40 assists, 10 digs, and 7 assists. Oregon experimented with the lineup at times, using freshmen Elise Ferrera and Morgan Lewis. Still, the Ducks just used 10 players in comparison to Boston College, who used 15. For the Eagles, Jewel Strawberry led the team attacking with 9 kills on .065 hitting. STORY: Oregon Looking to Regain National Prominence Against Familiar Opponent

On January 10th, 2011, Oregon's hopes of a first national title in program history were ripped away after a gut-wrenching 22-19 loss against Auburn in the title game. Since then, Oregon Football has experienced a roller-coaster of peaks and valleys. But now, nearly nine years later, Oregon feels it has a chance to rejoin the national spotlight it once had. Led by Heisman candidate Justin Herbert and one of the best offensive lines in the country, #11 Oregon returns a talented and experienced team in position to make a big push this season. To start the year, Oregon faces a roadblock that the program is familiar with: The Auburn Tigers. Saturday's match-up represents a chance to make steps towards that lucrative national title it could taste in 2011.
