FB | Ducks 2nd Half Surge Stunts SeaWolves, 48-7

The Oregon Ducks came into Autzen Stadium with the opposite trajectory as their Saturday counterparts. Oregon, riding high off a road win against #3 Ohio State and being vaulted into the #4 ranking in the country, found themselves matches up against an FCS opponent in the Stony Brook SeaWolves.
Oregon came into the game as massive favorites but quickly subverted the countries expectations after stumbling out of the blocks. The first quarter ended with the Ducks barely edging out the SeaWolves 10-7, and the 2nd quarter didn't result in much more offense outside of an Anthony Brown TD scamper.
At the intermission, the Ducks held just a 10 point lead and were only outgaining Stony Brook on the ground by a single yard. The 2nd half was a different story. #12 Oregon Football was tasked with facing #3 Ohio State on the road in front of 100,482 fans without key players Kayvon Thibodeaux and Justin Flowe, who were out with injuries. The tall task didn't faze the Ducks, defeating the Buckeyes 35-28 for a program-altering victory.
Oregon never trailed in this game and controlled the trenches on both sides of the ball. CJ Verdell ran wild for 161 yards on 20 carries, while also stepping up as Oregon's top receiver with 34 receiving yards. In total, Verdell had 200 yards from scrimmage and 3 total TD, including a 77 yard explosion to start the second half.
Oregon QB Anthony Brown went 17-35 for 236 yards and 2 TD, while also rushing for 65 yards on 10 carries. Outside of Verdell, Oregon's other two TDs belonged to Travis Dye (5 yard rush) and Moliki Motavao (14 yard TD pass). When in the redzone, Oregon was 4-4 on scoring TD.
