WBB | Ducks Ride to a Victory Over Cowgirls

Text Story: Ryan Milano

The Oregon Ducks stride to a 109-38 victory over the McNeese State Cowgirls. Oregon came into tonight off of three straight underwhelming performances but came out hot against McNeese St. A 27-0 run to start the game anchored by Sydney Parrish set the tone and Oregon never let off the gas.

The difference in the score was for one simple reason. Oregon shot the lights out. The Ducks Shot 60.5% from the field and 55% from deep while holding McNeese St. to 21.3% on the night.

Six Ducks ended up in Double figures on the night. Sydney Parrish and Kylee Watson led the way with 21 points apiece. Ahlise Hurst shined as well and hit a career milestone of 1K points for her career in the process.

The Ducks advance to 6-3 on the season after the victory. Oregon is going to travel to the Midwest next weekend to face off against Kansas State on Dec. 18th and Northwestern on Dec. 21st.

MBB Game Story: Ducks Comeback Stalls, Cardinal Win on Buzzer Beater

Written story by Austin Ota

The Oregon mens basketball team traveled south to Palo Alto to take on Stanford in what was both teams second PAC-12 game of the season. Oregon was coming off of a bad loss to a tumbling Arizona State program, and the trend continued, as the game ended on a buzzer-beating three pointer by Stanford's Jaiden Delaire. The Ducks battled, however, and had the game tied with just three seconds to go, despite being down 11 midway through the second half.

Neither team shot particularly well in the first half, but Stanford ended with a seven point lead due to strong defense by Freshman Harrison Ingram. Ingram, who would finish the night with 18 points, had 11 in the first half, along with three rebounds and three assists. Oregon, who failed to score in the last 4:35 of the half, was led by Will Richardson and his three deep balls. Stanford began the night playing large, with sophomore guard Michael O'Connell surrounded by…

Oregon Men's Basketball falls in OT to Arizona State

KWVA Sports - Dec 05, 2021

Written Story by Levi Profitt

Oregon Men's Basketball went down to the Arizona State Sun Devils in an overtime 69-67 wild one Sunday night at Matthew Knight Arena. It was a battle that went down to the wire, and featured Sun Devils guard Jay Heath knocking down what would be the game-winning three pointer with 3.5 seconds left in OT.

The game started slow for both teams, with poor shooting, and sloppy turnovers from both sides early. It picked up throughout the 1st half, however, as both teams would end the half shooting just over 44%. It was a tight first half that would prove similar of what would follow, as the game would be a nail biter. Quincy Guerrier and Jacob Young were some of the lone bright spots for the Ducks in the first half offensively, putting up 8 and 6 points respectively. Oregon was able to play nice defense in the half, keeping them afloat, and eventually leading to a 31-30 Oregon lead…
