#10 Oregon Women's Basketball rolls past Dixie State, 84-35

Written story by AJ Traynor

This Sunday afternoon the Oregon Ducks (1-0) took on the Dixie State Trailblazers (1-1) in Matthew Knight Arena, resulting in a powerful win for the Ducks with a final score of 84-35.

It was a full team effort across all facets of the game, but the scoring was led by Ahlise Hurst, 17 points, and Kylee Watson, 16 points on 100% shooting. A main part of what prevented Dixie State from scoring was their lacking ability to hold the ball, finishing the game with 21 turnovers. These turnovers were forced by Oregon’s Sydney Parrish with 4 steals and Kylee Watson with another 3 steals. Crashing the glass also helped the Ducks get this win, this was emphasized by Phillipina Kyei who had 5 offensive rebounds and another 5 defensive boards. Kyei also had a double-double with 13 points off the bench. Oregon handled this game from the start, never trailing for a second, but made sure they didn’t let up a…

Eugene, Oregon — The #17 Oregon Ducks (20-6, 11-5) defeated the UCLA Bruins (25-23, 25-17, 25-20) Saturday afternoon. With this win, the Ducks have now won 5 straight matches in a streak that includes beating 2 top 25 teams.

STORY: #3 Oregon Football Uses Big Second Half to Handle Washington State, 38-24

Written Story (by Sean MacPherson)

Oregon Football took care of business against Washington State on Saturday, 38-24. After surrendering a 70-yard pass on the second play from scrimmage, Oregon forced a touchback on a run from WSU QB Jayden De Laura. The Ducks used that momentum shift to jump out to a 14-0 lead, but the Cougars followed that up with a 14-0 run of their own to make the halftime score 14-14. Out of halftime, the Ducks struck right away with a big kick return from Mykael Wright that ultimately led to a 5 play, 43-yard scoring drive. The Ducks followed that up with a Camden Lewis FG to go up 24-14. With 10:28 left to play in the fourth quarter, Anthony Brown thought he found his second rushing TD of the day but instead fumbled to keep Washington State alive. Oregon scored on the ensuing drive, and a Bryan Addison interception essentially put the game away. Both teams managed to score once more, but the Ducks wound up with the 38-24 victory.

Story: Oregon Men's Basketball Routs SMU 86-63 to start 2-0

Written by Jonah Bruneau

It was an exciting Friday night inside Matthew Knight Arena for the Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball team as they hosted their second consecutive home game to open the season against the SMU Mustangs. The Mustangs came into the game 1-0 after defeating the McNeese State Cowboys 86-62 and were feeling confident as a result coming into the night. However, Oregon had plans of their own. Once the ball was tipped, the Ducks took control of the court and never let up after Senior Guard Jacob Young hit a three-pointer to open up the scoring. When it was all said and done, the Ducks recorded a 86-63 victory to go to 2-0 on the young season.

Oregon was able to spread the ball out plenty, as four players had tallied double-digit point totals. The man leading the way was Senior Forward Eric Williams Jr. with 19 points and 8-14 from the field. Right behind was fellow Senior Guard Will Richardson with 18 points and a sizzling 4-5 from beyond the arc. 6…
