STORY: Oregon Volleyball Crumbles Against Washington State, Loses 3-0

The Oregon Ducks headed into Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday with execution on the mind. Unfortunately for Oregon, they didn't bring the execution to the hardwood and were swept in straight sets for the first time this season. The Washington State Cougars came into Eugene with a nine-set winning streak, and despite the Ducks being ranked as the #14 team in the country, the Cougars didn't want to see an end to their streak.
The two teams were very competitive in sets one and two, but Jen Greeny's Cougars were the aggressor late in sets going on a 4-0 run to close out the first set and overcame a 17-19 deficit to secure set number two. Oregon came out flat in set three, and Washington walked out of Matthew Knight Arena with their fourth consecutive sweep.

Oregon Football (5-1) narrowly escaped an upset bid from Cal (1-5) on Friday night in Eugene. After going down 17-10 with 13:37 left to play, Oregon made the plays necessary to string together a 14-0 scoring run and win the game 24-17. Oregon won the game in the final seconds as the Ducks made a goal-line stand on a 4th down play from the 2-yard line.
Oregon's offense was hot and cold throughout the game, but one constant was Travis Dye, who took advantage of increased opportunity with 218 all-purpose yards and a TD. Dye also averaged an impressive 7.6 yards/carry. Anthony Brown finished his night 20-28 for 244 yards and a TD, to go with 13 carries for 44 yards and a rushing TD. Devon Williams was the most productive WR for the Ducks, finishing with 4 receptions for 67 yards. As a team, Oregon accounted for 454 total yards on 7.2 yards/play.
