EUGENE, OR – The No. 8 Oregon Ducks Football Team will stay on the road this weekend, traveling to Folsom Field to face off against the Colorado Buffaloes. On the outset, these teams look opposite: the Ducks standing at 7-1 on the season and the Buffaloes sinking at 1-7. But Colorado Interim Head Coach Mike Sanford has only been in charge for three games, and has started to find the hidden gems in the Buffaloes’ roster. Sanford’s first game in charge was Colorado’s first win, a 20-13 overtime thriller over Cal, but he dropped the next two. On the other side of the coin, Oregon Head Coach Dan Lanning has been emphasizing taking things one game at a time. The Ducks face steeper competition in Washington, Utah, and Oregon State to close out the season after Colorado. But before the final grind of the season begins, the Ducks have plenty to prove against the Buffaloes on Saturday afternoon.

All season long, Oregon football has been focused on setting a new tone and culture for the program. After a series of erratic seasons, and an offseason that saw an overhaul in personnel, the team has seemed dead set on proving to the college football world that they deserve to be on the same level as some of the top schools in the sport. This mission got off to a famously disastrous start, with Oregon being granted, and entirely squandering, a massive opportunity in the season opener vs. reigning national champion Georgia. In the eight weeks that have followed, the Ducks have gone undefeated, showing regular improvement and ability, and willing their way to the edge of the College Football Playoff Discussion.

Eugene, OR - On Saturday, #8 Oregon (6-1, 4-0) will travel away from Eugene for the first time in three weeks to take on California (3-4, 1-3) in Berkeley. For the Ducks, this game should be just a stepping stone in what the team’s ultimate goal is: win out and make the College Football Playoff. On the other hand, the Golden Bears will be facing their toughest test yet against an Oregon team that is coming off an extremely convincing win over UCLA. With that being said, it could be a very long day for Cal who has lost three in a row and has failed to score more than 21 points in five of its seven games this season.

EUGENE, OR - #18 Oregon Volleyball (13-5, 7-3) travels to the sunny state of Arizona this week for a match between the Arizona Wildcats (12-9, 2-8) and the Arizona State Sun Devils (10-12, 4-6). Oregon will play Arizona first this Friday at 7:00 PM MST at McKale Memorial Center before traveling to Tempe Sunday for a match against Arizona State at 1:00 PM MST in Desert Financial Arena. This past weekend the Ducks extended their winning streak to three and Matt Ulmer picked up his 100th career win as head coach after Sunday’s sweep against Colorado. Heading into the second half of league play this weekend, Oregon hopes to keep their enthusiasm up and continue their winning streak as they play two unranked teams sitting in the bottom 3rd of the Pac-12.
