Preview: Oregon Volleyball Looks to Get Back on Track as Road Trip Continues Against USC, UCLA

By Graham Metzker

EUGENE, OR – Oregon Volleyball (10-4, 4-2) will travel down to Los Angeles to face USC and UCLA as their road trip continues this weekend. Oregon will play USC (13-4, 5-1) first this Friday at 8:00 PM at the Galen Center, followed by UCLA (2-4,8-7) on Sunday at 2:00 PM in Pauley Pavillion. The past weekend saw Head Coach Matt Ulmer’s six game winning streak come to a gut-wrenching end, with back-to-back road losses to Washington State and Washington. Star outside hitters Brooke Nuneviller and Mimi Colyer put forth 20-kill performances in both games, but Oregon lost in five sets in both games. Now, halfway through the 2022 season, Oregon visits two talented teams and looks to get back to winning ways.

Missing Hannah Pukis

Oregon’s starting setter Hannah Pukis did not travel for last weekend’s games in Washington, and her status is unclear for this weekend. Pukis has been outstanding in her first season in Eugene – her…

Preview: Oregon Soccer Goes on the Road Versus Washington State

By Levi Bergthold

EUGENE, OR -- Oregon Soccer (4-5-4) travels to Pullman to face off against conference rival Washington State University (8-3-2) on Friday at 7 PM.  After an impressive 2-0 win against the then-16th ranked Washington Huskies, the Ducks have gone 1-3 in their last four matches, with the sole victory coming at the expense of Utah.  It has been a tumultuous stretch for the Ducks, as star goalkeeper Leah Freeman received a red card in the first half against #1 UCLA, a 1-3 loss, and missed the ensuing loss to #8 USC, a 0-4 loss. With 6 matches remaining in the season, Oregon will attempt to steady the ship, and try to make the programs first post-season NCAA tournament.

Offensive Woes Continue

The Oregon offense has been a sore spot throughout the season, having scored only fourteen goals through fourteen matches.  The Ducks have not scored more than two yet and have been shut out twice.  This is due in…

FB Preview: #12 Oregon looks for its first win in Tucson since 2011 against a high-powered Arizona offense

By Ian Sutliff

Oregon is set to face Arizona this Saturday in Tucson with both teams coming off blowout wins in their home stadiums. The Ducks come into this matchup ranked #12 in the nation and the unranked Wildcats will be looking for its first win against a ranked opponent since 2019 when it took down UCLA at home. On the other side, Oregon is looking to win in Arizona stadium for the first time since 2011. It should be noted that in those couple of losses in Tucson over the past decade, the Ducks have been ranked and have lost by an average of 27.5 points. This means that Oregon (4-1, 2-0) will need to play much more stout defense against Arizona (3-2, 1-1) this weekend if it wants to buck a losing trend in Tucson.

Oregon Offense:

After being routed in Georgia, there were questions and concerns about whether Bo Nix was really the guy. In week 1, the former Auburn quarterback threw two interceptions and failed to…
