Oregon Soccer Travels to Arizona for Two Crucial Games
By Owen Johnson
EUGENE, OR – Oregon Soccer (4-6-6) travels to Arizona this week, for two games against the Arizona State Sun Devils (7-4-3) and the Arizona Wildcats (6-6-3). The first of these games is this Thursday at 7:00 PM MST, at Arizona State’s Sun Devil Soccer Stadium in Tempe. Then, on Saturday at 1 PM MST, the Ducks have a game at Murphy Field against the aforementioned Wildcats. The Ducks are coming off a draw versus California, who came into the game ranked at 25. With both Arizona teams sitting near the top 5 in the Pacific region, Oregon seeks to impress after a rocky offensive season. With only 3 games remaining in the regular season, teams hope to finish strong in the final matches before the rivalry games.

By Austin Ota Ryan Oppenheimer and Jakob Salao
Written Story by Jakob Salao
Saturday was one of the most memorable days for Oregon football fans in recent years. Starting early in the twilight hours of the morning, ESPN Gameday had Ducks fans lined up around the memorial quad on the University of Oregon’s campus. Then, hours later, the #10 ranked Oregon Ducks would take on the #9 ranked UCLA Bruins, where the Ducks would take home the victory 45-30.
Oregon opened the scoring on the first drive of the game with a field goal and never looked back. UCLA would be able to tie, but the Bruins could never get a lead on the Ducks. After Oregon would score, UCLA would match right back, leaving the game knotted up. In the second quarter, at about the 11 minute mark, Oregon would recover an onside kick, score a TD, and never look back for the rest of the game, continuing to outscore the Bruins until the very end. If you don’t count the…
