PREVIEW: Oregon Football vs Utah
WHEN: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 7:30 PM PT
WHERE: AUTZEN STADIUM, EUGENE, OR
By: Griffin Bowes
THE 12TH RANKED OREGON DUCKS have found themselves at a major crossroads this week. On one hand, last week’s 37-34 loss to rival Washington all but eliminated them from the College Football Playoff discussion. The status of quarterback Bo Nix is to be determined, as he suffered an apparent ankle injury last week. On the other hand, winning the PAC-12 and making the Rose Bowl is still a very realistic goal for the Ducks. We will learn a lot about the resilience of the Oregon coaches and players in this week’s matchup against #10 Utah. With many of their preseason goals still in front of them, the Ducks could bounce back with a hard-fought win over a quality Ute team. Or, they could be discouraged after falling out of national contention, and suffer their second straight home loss.

VB Story: Oregon's win streak extends to 10 after a 5-set victory against UCLA
Written Story by Jakob Salao
Oregon Volleyball defeated the UCLA Bruins on Friday 3-2 at home in Matthew Knight Arena. This extends the Ducks' winning streak to 10 straight wins; a streak that started back in early October where Oregon first beat UCLA this season. This is also the first time Oregon has swept UCLA in the season since 2018. Although on paper this may sound like Oregon got the win easily, the real match was not won that easily.
The first set was a tumultuous back-and-forth set where neither team was able to jump out to a sizable lead. As soon as Oregon would find a lead, UCLA would go on a scoring run to get it right back. It wasn’t until Oregon scored their 19th point, and forced a UCLA timeout, that the team was able to secure their lead. As they lead 19-17, the crowd in MKA began to explode with chants and claps in support of the Ducks. The Ducks responded to this energy with a 9-1 scoring run in order to secure a victory in…

On a chilly Wednesday night outside the Morse Events Center, the Bushnell Beacons(3-2) kept things hot inside, dominating the visiting Lewis and Clark Pioneers by a score of 86-56. In a an all around showcase by the Beacons, they especially excelled with their shooting and defensive play. From beyond the arc, they shot 9 for 22 with plenty of midrange jumpers thrown in as well. On the less glorious end of the court, Bushnell still executed well, starting the game off with a 15-0 lead and hounding Lewis and Clark ballhandlers all night.

Oregon Men's Basketball Redeems Itself with an 81-51 Win Over Montana State
Written Story by Maddie Lang
EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon Men’s Basketball got redemption Tuesday night against the Montana State Bobcats after a tough loss Friday night. Final score of the game was Oregon 81 Montana State 51. Both teams put up an equal fight in the first half but Oregon closed the half with a 10-1 scoring run. Quincy Guerrier opened the second half with a 3-point shot, paving the way for eight total three-pointers from the Ducks in just this half. After a tough shooting game Friday night, Oregon redeemed themselves Tuesday, ending the game shooting 53.3% in the paint and 44.4% from three-point range. It’s clear Oregon’s loss Friday night only fired them up even more for this match up against Montana.
Leading the Oregon offense in scoring for the night was freshman Center Kel’el Ware. He had a total of 16 points and was named the game’s MVP. His most notable play of the night was two back-to-back dunks in the second half that gave…
