Oregon Men's Tennis defeats its rivals Washington

The Oregon Men's Tennis Team defeated their rivals the Washington Huskies 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Ducks clinched the doubles point as their #1 and #3 doubles pairings got the victories, and from there the Ducks were able to win a toughly contested match. It was also senior day and lone senior Jayson Amos was recognized for his accomplishments. Also, Amos won his match 6-3, 6-3. SB: No. 6 Oregon Falls 10-7 to No. 3 Arizona, Loses Series

The Oregon Ducks bounced back from Friday's shutout at the hands of the Arizona Wildcats with seven runs on the offensive side, but Duck pitching yielded 10 Arizona runs en route to a Game 2 and series loss for Oregon. Gwen Svekis mashed two home runs and finished with five RBI and Danica Mercado added a two-run home run of her own, but freshman starting pitcher Maggie Balint was pulled by head coach Mike White before she could record an out in the second inning. Arizona's Katiyana Mauga hit another home run on Saturday, moving her into first on the Arizona all-time career home run list. #25 Oregon suffered their fourth consecutive loss on Saturday, as Stanford clinched the weekend series with an 8-5 win. Matt Mercer went six innings for Oregon but couldn't keep the Cardinal at bay, giving up 5 ER on 8 hits, striking out only 2 batters and walking 1.The Ducks knocked the ball all around the park, tallying 13 hits to match Stanford's total. SB: Oregon Bats Go Cold Again, Drop Game 1 vs. Arizona

The No. 3 Arizona Wildcats shutout the No. 6 Oregon Ducks 2-0 on Friday evening in Tucson, Arizona. The Ducks have now lost five of their last seven games and have been shutout three times in the last two weeks. Danielle O'Toole was spectacular for the Wildcats, throwing a complete-game, five-hit, shutout.
