FB | No. 7 Stanford Flips Script, Stuns No. 20 Oregon in Overtime Thriller

No. 20 Oregon Football was handed a startling 38-31 overtime loss at Autzen Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the hands of no. 7 Stanford after near-dominance from the Ducks. Oregon went into halftime leading the Cardinal, who came into the match-up as 2.5 point favorites, 24-7. That lead seemed destined to balloon near the end of the third quarter, as sophomore wide receiver Jaylon Redd leaped into the end zone on a 16-yard run that was initially called a touchdown on the field. Further review showed that Redd's foot hit the pylon before the ball crossed the goal line, three plays later Stanford linebacker Joey Alfieri took a botched snap 80 yards the other direction for a touchdown, and suddenly the game script flipped. The fumble recovery that became a mad touchdown dash sparked Stanford's 31-7 run in the final 18 minutes of regulation and overtime. The huge Stanford streak was highlighted by Oregon running back CJ Verdell's fumble on 2nd and 2 from the Stanford 42 with roughly a… Continue with FB | No. 7 Stanford Flips Script, Stuns No. 20 Oregon in Overtime Thriller.

WSOC | Ducks Down Utes 1-0 Off Everett's 88th Minute Winner

Oregon Soccer (7-1-1) earned their first victory in a Pac-12 opener since 2012 on Friday night, driving past the visiting Utah Utes (3-5-1) on the back of forward Marissa Everett's headed far-post winner in the 88th minute. After freshman forward/midfielder Zoe Hasenauer forced a turnover near Utah's box, a beautiful cross in towards Everett left the senior with little short of a headed tap-in. The win puts Oregon in great position at the start of Pac-12 play; the Ducks are just three wins short of the 10 that typically gets teams over .500 on the year and eligible for the postseason. STORY: Extra Work is Natural For Johnny Johnson III

Through three games, sophomore wide receiver Johnny Johnson III leads Oregon with 4 receiving touchdowns. While he's had his fair share of struggles, he's come a long way since being a two-star recruit out of Arizona. Based on the words offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo and quarterback Justin Herbert, his progress shouldn't come as a surprise, thanks to his drive for more.
