Oregon Softball's losing streak moved to 11 on Sunday, March 24, as the Ducks dropped their series with Washington after a 14-2 loss in five innings. Gabbie Plain, starter for the Huskies, gave up two runs on just three hits, while Oregon pitchers Maddie MacGrandle and Kailey Krueger combined to give up 14 runs, including five home runs. Oregon returns to action on Monday, looking to pick up their first win in March, now sitting at 11-15 and 0-5 in Pac-12 play. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Oregon baseball lost the final game of a three-game set with #20 Arizona State 7-3, and in doing so, lost the series 2-1. RHP RJ Dabovich got the win for the Sun Devils, limiting Oregon to three runs over 5.2 innings. Arizona State then turned to Sam Romero, who blanked the Ducks going 3.2 scoreless innings while striking out four hitters.

The Sun Devils' first four hitters in their lineup torched the Ducks, accounting for seven of their 12 hits, and four RBIs. LF Trevor Hauver led the way for the red hot Sun Devils, going 2-5 and launching his eighth home run of the season.

Oregon's starter Brett Walker received the loss, lasting only 3 innings, giving up four runs. Oregon's bullpen, however, pitched relatively well, lasting 6 innings and only giving up three runs.

Up next, Oregon travels to Provo, Utah for two midweek matchups with BYU and Utah Valley on Tuesday and Wednesday. The first pitch between Oregon and BYU will be on Tuesday, at 5:00 PM…

Evan Williams finally ended the 12 inning contest as his bomb to left center field gave the Ducks a 5-4 win Saturday evening at PK Park. #22 Arizona State suffered their first loss of the season as they were 21-0 coming into today's contest.

Oregon got off to a 4-0 start by the 3rd inning thanks to a bases loaded walk for Gabe Matthews. Then Aaron Zavala reached base on a fielders choice. Max Foxcroft's 2 RBI single scored Sam Steer and Zavala.

The Sun Devils were able to erase the 4-0 deficit with a 2 RBI single from Spencer Torkelson. Then Carter Aldrete and Gage Workman each had an RBI single to even the score.

The pitching was strong throughout the game as Robert Ahlstrom went 6 innings and threw a career high 8 strikeouts. Ryne Nelson gave up the 4 Sun Devil runs, but was durable and threw a career high 10 strikeouts as well. Nico Tellache came in for the 12th inning and recorded the win.

The Huskies got the scoring started when Nawai Kaupe blasted a solo home-run to left field off of Jordan Dail in the 3rd inning. The Ducks responded to Kaupe's blast when April Utect connected on a 2-run home-run in the 5th inning off of Washington's starter Gabbie Plain. Oregon's 2-1 advantage was short-lived, as Sami Reynolds' 2-run home-run in the 6th inning gave the Huskies back the lead at 3-2. With their backs against the wall, and having already endured a two-hour, 22-minute rain delay, Oregon's Jasmine Sievers lifted a 1-out home-run to right field in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings. After only scoring 7 total runs last weekend against Washington, Oregon(11-8, 1-3 Pac-12) was looking for an offensive rejuvenation. Instead, they were shut out until the 9th inning, at which point the game was already put away, losing 12-2. They mustered only three hits in the first seven innings, and Sundevils starter Alec Marsh shut them down, despite issuing five walks and only four strikeouts. Offensively, the Ducks did a good job staying patient and taking the walks when there were no good pitches to hit. Spencer Steer had the best day offensively, going 1-2 with a double and two walks. The shortstop also made some nice plays on the defensive end.

Starter Cullen Kafka(5.97 ERA) managed to keep Arizona State(21-0, 4-0 Pac-12) down the first couple innings, but for the second start in a row, he began to fade in the later innings, giving up two runs in the third and three runs in the fourth.
