SB | Oregon Downs Stanford for First Pac-12 Win
After seven consecutive conference losses, Oregon exploded for 14 hits and seven runs to stifle Stanford and win 7-2. The Ducks saw Maddie MacGrandle display un-waning poise in the circle, holding the two thru six Cardinal-batters hitless and only allowing four hits and two run in five-and-two-thirds innings of work. Shaye Bowden launched a grand slam in the first inning, allowing the Ducks an early lead that proved to be insurmountable for Stanford through the proceeding seven innings. The Cardinal found offensive production from lead-off hitter Teaghan Cowles, who reached base four times, three by way of a hit and also walking once. The Oregon-win ends Stanford's 3-0 conference start and sets the stage for a rubber match in the final game of the series on Sunday.
