Story: Oregon Men's Basketball Routs SMU 86-63 to start 2-0
Written by Jonah Bruneau
It was an exciting Friday night inside Matthew Knight Arena for the Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball team as they hosted their second consecutive home game to open the season against the SMU Mustangs. The Mustangs came into the game 1-0 after defeating the McNeese State Cowboys 86-62 and were feeling confident as a result coming into the night. However, Oregon had plans of their own. Once the ball was tipped, the Ducks took control of the court and never let up after Senior Guard Jacob Young hit a three-pointer to open up the scoring. When it was all said and done, the Ducks recorded a 86-63 victory to go to 2-0 on the young season.
Oregon was able to spread the ball out plenty, as four players had tallied double-digit point totals. The man leading the way was Senior Forward Eric Williams Jr. with 19 points and 8-14 from the field. Right behind was fellow Senior Guard Will Richardson with 18 points and a sizzling 4-5 from beyond the arc. 6…

The first set was a back and forth set the whole way. There were 8 total ties through the first 40 serves as both teams found themselves knotted at 20. USC got ahead by 2 before Oregon went on a 5-0 run to end the first set and win 25-22. STORY: Oregon takes season opener against Texas Southern 83-66
By Kent Williams
On a Tuesday evening at Matthew Knight Arena, the Oregon Ducks(1-0) took the court against the reigning SWAC conference champions Texas Southern Tigers(0-1) for the season opener, and took the victory 83-66, led by senior guard Will Richardson’s 20 points.
The game was the debut for a lot of players in front of the Matthew Knight crowd, including transfer guard Jacob Young, who finished the game with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal to cap off an impressive start for the brother of Duck basketball alumni Joe Young. He rode a hot first half, where he shot 5-7 to go with 2 buckets from beyond the arc. Other young players making their debuts in a Ducks uniform included freshman centers Nate Bittle and Issac Johnson, who both stood above the rest as the tallest players on the court. Bittle received a mini ovation when he first took the court and rewarded the crowd by blocking a shot on the next possession.
Next up for the Ducks…

FB | Oregon Wins Ugly in Seattle Downpour 26-16
Written Story: Ryan Milano
#4 Oregon traveled down to Seattle and achieved a 26-16 victory over Washington. A rivalry matchup against the Huskies always has bad blood for Oregon, but coming into this game a little extra fuel was added to the fire. Oregon took Washington's spot in the Pac-12 title last season and Washington head coach Jimmy Lake questioned Oregon's "academic prowess" early in the week.
The Huskies jumped out as the aggressor early. Carson Bruener intercepted Anthony Brown on the opening possession and set up Washington for an early TD. The Huskies continued to dominate on defense and special teams in the early going as punter Race Porter pinned two punts at the Oregon 1-yard-line. One of which ended in a safety to give UW a 9-3 lead.
The problem for the Huskies? Their offense couldn't get anything going. Headed into the 4th quarter, Oregon had only allowed three first downs. The Ducks…
