PREVIEW: After a Disappointing Road Trip, Oregon Women’s Basketball Heads Home to Face the #14 Arizona Wildcats
By Maddie Lang
EUGENE, OR- The Oregon Ducks’ Women's Basketball team will host the #14 Arizona Wildcats this Thursday night. The Ducks are sitting at 14-13 overall, however, almost all of their wins came in the first half of their season. Although they’ve lost seven straight games, these matchups were all decided by 10 points or less. This means that a victory over the Wildcats is not out of the picture. If Oregon wants to take down Arizona and stop their winning drought, they will need to put up a strong performance.
OREGON’S OFFENSE
The last time the Ducks faced off against the Wildcats, they had one of their top scoring performances. They shot 52.7 percent, scoring 71 overall. Leading the team was Grace VanSlooten who had a total of 18 points all while missing parts of the final two quarters. Oregon’s shooting percentage as of late has stayed within the mid 30% range. If the Ducks want to make a victory happen, they will…

BSB: Oregon completes four-game sweep of Xavier to open the season
By: Ian Sutliff
Eugene, OR-- The Ducks went into Sunday 3-0 after a Saturday where it beat Xavier twice and totaled fourteen runs. Sunday’s series finale was a different story though as Nick Boyle cruised through the first four frames as he kept Oregon off the board while striking out three and allowing just one hit. Going into the fifth inning, freshman Jakson Pace had retired 14 of the last 16 batters he’d faced after giving up a one out double to Andrew Walker in the first. After allowing a walk to Teddy Deters, Carter Hendrickson hit a line drive double down the left field which was misplayed for a second by Tanner Smith, allowing Deters to score from first.
The Musketeers would hold the 1-0 lead into the seventh inning where the Ducks’ only hit to that point was an infield single from Gavin Grant in the third inning. After holding Xavier to no runs in the top of the seventh after they loaded the bases, Josiah Cromwick took the first pitch he saw…

On a cloudy February afternoon, the Oregon Ducks(3-0) took on the Xavier Musketeers(0-3) for games 2 and 3 of their series and came away victorious in both of them. While neither was in walk-off fashion like Friday's exciting game, it was a turn around for an offense that struggled to get going.
Game 1
The offense got off to a hot start in this game, scoring in each of the first four innings. Catcher Josiah Cromwick got things off to a great start with a 3-run homer for his first of the season and gave the Ducks a quick lead. However, DH Sabin Ceballos would respond with a long shot of his own in the second inning, this one a solo shot to widen the gap. Oregon would tack on a couple more crooked numbers in the 3rd and 4th inning, including Cromwick's second home run of the day.
While Cromwick had a great day at that plate, all eyes were on freshman starting pitcher Leo Uelmen making his…
