BSB: Ducks finish weekend 3-1, defeat Aggies 7-2
The Oregon Ducks outmatched the UC-Davis Aggies on Monday, defeating them by a score of 7-2. Oregon produced on the mound as well as in the batter's box. Starting pitcher Zack Noll went five innings allowing four hit, one earned run and striking out four. As for the offense, the Ducks got three hits out of both Spencer Steer and Gabe Matthews. Tim Susnara also tied the school record with five walks in a game. Following the victory, Oregon moves to 7-4 on the season. Oregon will wrap up non-conference play with a series against Santa Clara, beginning Thursday.

The cold weather and precipitation did not deter the Ducks from taking the third game of the series against the Mississippi St. Bulldogs 6-5 in 11 innings at PK Park Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Kyle Kasser delivered a walk-off single to score pinch-runner Carson Breshears from second base for the winning run. Kasser, who belted his first career homerun on Friday, came through again when the Ducks needed him most. Freshman Kenyon Yovan pitched three scoreless innings of relief to keep the Ducks alive in extras. Head Coach George Horton and his squad improve to 6-4 on the season and will host UC Davis Monday night at PK Park riding high after a strong showing against a solid Bulldogs team.

Softball: Oregon Ties School Record with 18 Consecutive Wins, Sweeping Day Two of the Missouri Invite
Coming off a very successful opening day of the Missouri Invitational, the Ducks were looking for the same results on day two. Opening up the day in a rematch against Missouri, Oregon struck early, with one run in the first inning and two runs in the second. Missouri did not have enough firepower to answer back as Oregon piled on four more runs and ended up losing 7-2. Megan Kleist picked up her sixth win of the season. In game two of the day, the Ducks blanked the Butler Bulldogs, only allowing one hit and ending the game in walk-off fashion off of a Jenna Lilley two-run home run. Freshman Maggie Balint struck out 10 batters and walked away with a 9-0 record.
