Ducks Dominate Wisconsin, Advance to 8th Consecutive Super Regional

The Oregon Duck Softball team cruised passed Wisconsin in the second meeting in as many days, run-ruling the Badgers 9-0 in five innings to take the Eugene Regional and advance to the Super Regionals. Mike White went with his third pitcher of the weekend, handing the ball to Miranda Elish, who pitched a scoreless five innings while giving up only one hit and three walks. Elish helped herself out from the batter's box as well, driving in two runs as one of three Duck batters who tallied two RBIs on the day. The victory eliminates Wisconsin, and matches Oregon up with #14 Kentucky for a best-of-three series next weekend in Eugene. Ducks escape Wisconsin upset in a comeback win, 6-5

Oregon softball eluded a near loss in their second Regional game against Big 10 opponent, Wisconsin, winning 6-5 in extra innings. The Ducks started off per usual with two early runs in the first inning. Wisconsin freshman pitcher Kaitlyn Menz quickly adjusted, silencing the Ducks offense in the next four innings while her offense supported her earning three runs in the second and two in the fifth innings respectively. Oregon later overcame adversity with two sparks from freshmen standouts Shannon Rhodes and Miranda Elish.
