With two weeks to prepare for Khalil Tate and the Arizona Wildcats, the Oregon Ducks improved to 6-5 and became bowl eligible with a dominant 48-28 victory on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. Arizona, the leading rushing team in the Pac-12 Conference was held nearly 200 yards under its average on the season with 171 yards on the ground Saturday against the Ducks. Coming into Saturday, Tate averaged over 160 rush yards per game and the Ducks held him to just 32 yards on the ground. In Justin Herbert's return, the Oregon offense looked more like its dynamic self, scoring 48 points (28 in the first half and 20 in the second half). Herbert rushed for a 40-yard score and also threw for 235 yards and a touchdown. Royce Freeman became Oregon's all-time points scored and total touchdowns leader with his first of four rushing scores in the first quarter. It was Freeman's third-career four-touchdown game and second of the 2017 season. Up next for Oregon is the Civil War versus Oregon State on… Read More

STORY: Henry Mondeaux Leading Oregon's Defense by Example

Having been voted the Ducks' defensive captain prior to the season, senior defensive end Henry Mondeaux's role was certain to expand in 2017. As one of the few players who has been through each of the team's schematic transitions over the years, the experience that head coach Willie Taggart and defensive line coach Joe Salave'a had in Mondeaux was invaluable. Generating five sacks himself and leading the nation in quarterback hurries as a 3-4 defensive end (per Pro Football Focus), Mondeaux has helped lead the Ducks defense as one of the best rush defenses in the PAC-12. Jalen Jelks has been the most noteworthy Duck defensive lineman, but without Mondeaux's teaching and leadership, the Oregon defense would be missing its essential piece. Two weeks to go in the regular season and one win needed for a bowl bid has Oregon seeking to extend not just their season, but Mondeaux's career. Listen below to a full story on the senior defensive lineman, his impact, and Oregon's drive to get him… Read More
