MBB: Oregon slides past DePaul in OT, 89-79.
Oregon Men's Basketball earned their first win in the Phil Knight Invitational through an overtime battle against the DePaul Blue Demons, 89-79. Led by Portland native Payton Pritchard, Oregon's ammunition never ran out and out shot DePaul with a shooting percentage of 45. With that being said, Oregon had 39 three point attempts but only made 15; yet, the Ducks got the win. Pritchard's 29 points and eight assists electrified the crowd full of Duck fans. Head Coach Dana Altman was pleased with the win but was not happy with the key mistakes Oregon made on defense, seeing two players foul out, Paul White and Kenny Wooten. At any rate, the Ducks will be back in action Sunday at 10 a.m. PT in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum against the Oklahoma Sooners. Sunday's battle will be the finale of the Phil Knight Invitational.

STORY: Arrion Springs' Great Senior Year is Missing One Element
Senior cornerback Arrion Springs' senior season has been his best of his four-year career at Oregon. Springs leads the Pac-12 and is top-10 nationally with 16 passes defended in 2017 and also set a new career high with his fourth tackle-for-loss against Stanford. An area that Springs has struggled with, though, is interceptions. Springs is without an interception in 2017 and has just one in his 45-game career in Eugene. A week ago against Arizona, one of Springs' two passes defended was a near-pick that bounced off his hands. Those struggles have followed Springs around his entire Oregon career and his coaches, teammates, and Springs all can't think of a better way for Springs to end his Autzen Stadium career than with an interception in his final Civil War. The full story is below.

With Nike co-founder and chairman, Phil Knight, in attendance, the Ducks were neck-and-neck with the Huskies all game but a total of 36 fouls and shooting 33 percent from the floor disabled Oregon and fell short. The two-time Pac 12 champions saw three players foul out, two of them scoring a total of just fifteen points. Altogether, Oregon assisted just seven times while scoring their 63 points. The Ducks have now recorded their first loss but will be back on the court Friday to avenge their disappointing performance.

STORY: Royce Freeman Readies for Final Act at Autzen
With a career that started with a National Championship berth and Marcus Mariota and that will end with him as the program's all-time leading scorer, Royce Freeman has cemented himself as an Oregon Football legend. The senior running back's 2017 season has gone much like the rest of his career, banged up from his deservedly heavy workload, Freeman has refused to slow down. As much is evident with his four touchdown performance against Arizona in Week 12, though that came after a touchdown drought without starting quarterback Justin Herbert in the lineup. Freeman hopes to continue the trend this week in a Civil War showdown with rivaled Oregon State in what will be his final act at Autzen Stadium. You won't hear it from the man himself, but those around Royce Freeman can find little reason not to compare him to the all-time greats at the position. The stats back it up too. With just two games remaining in his career, Freeman sits as the NCAA's ninth all-time leading rusher, as the PAC-… Read More
