The Oregon Ducks softball team kicks off its 2018 campaign on Thursday, February 8 in Tempe, Arizona as part of the Kajikawa Classic. Members of the team met with and spoke to the media ahead of its Tuesday afternoon practice at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. The Ducks are ranked. No. 3 in the NFCA preseason poll and Pac-12 coaches picked Oregon to win its fifth conference title in six years. The full interviews are below. WBB: Stanford steals a win from Ducks, 78-65.

Oregon Women's Basketball fell to the Stanford Cardinal,78-65, in front of a packed Matthew Knight Arena on Super Bowl Sunday. The Ducks have lost just their second game in Pac 12 play and fourth overall. Furthermore, Oregon is now accompanied by the Cardinal at the top of the Pac 12 standings with both schools placing a conference record of ten wins and two losses. Oregon standout guard, Sabrina Ionescu, led the team in scoring with 22 points while Ruthy Hebard and Satou Sabally weren't far behind, scoring sixteen and fourteen, respectively. The Ducks' deficit came from an astounding fifteen turnovers, in which 8 were from steals. Stanford capitalized on the offensive end led by senior guard, Brittany McPhee, who pummeled the Ducks with 33 points, shooting 14-22 from the field. WBB: Oregon outclasses Cal 91-54

The Oregon Women's basketball team took on #25 Cal on Friday evening, defeating them by a score of 74-64. The Ducks were led by Sabrina Ionescu with 28 points and 11 assists, and by Ruthy Hebard, who poured in 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Oregon's defense came to play throughout the night, shutting down Cal's leading scorer Kristine Anigwe to 6 points. Oregon faces another top 25 test on Sunday afternoon, when #24 Stanford comes to town. AUDIO: Oregon Women's Basketball Returns Home from Successful Trip

The Oregon Women's Basketball team returned to Eugene this week after a successful road trip to the Rocky Mountain schools, which saw the Ducks defeat both the Colorado Buffaloes and the Utah Utes. Awaiting Oregon at home this week are the two ranked teams for the Bay Area, the No. 25 California Golden Bears and the No. 24 Stanford Cardinal.
