Ionescu's Triple-Double Helps Duck's Bounce Back in Win
The Oregon women's basketball team led wire to wire in a blowout of Ole Miss, 90-46, Sunday afternoon. Despite shooting a measly 21% from beyond the arc, the Ducks were able to rally behind a strong rebounding performance and a dominant interior presence, posting up 58 points down on the block. The Duck's relied heavily on the offensive balance of their starters, earning double-digit scoring figures from each. The Duck's victory was headlined by Sabrina Ionescu's sensational stat-line of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists. Ruthy Hebard also delivered a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 steals. With her 7th triple double of her young career, Ionescu finds herself atop the list of all time Pac-12 triple-double leaders passing Nicole Powell's record of 6 from her days at Stanford. With conference play opening up in a few days against Washington State, Ionescu will have an opportunity to break the all-time NCAA triple-double record despite only having sophomore… Read More
Boise State Topples Ducks 38-28 in Las Vegas Bowl
Oregon Football's 2017 campaign came to an end with a disappointing 38-28 defeat at the hands of Boise State in the Las Vegas Vegas Bowl on Saturday afternoon. The matchup was full of ripe storylines leading into the game with the two program's previous bad blood and Mario Cristobal's first game as head coach of the Ducks, but that didn't stop Oregon from coming out flat. The Broncos would drive down the field and score a touchdown on their opening drive and would hold the lead throughout, dominating the first half on their way to a 24-0 advantage in the final minute of the second quarter. Chaos ensued, as the Ducks would tally two defensive touchdowns thanks to a Troy Dye 86-yard scoop-and-score that was followed a 100-yard pick-six from Tyree Robinson to make the score 24-14 heading into the half. Boise State would recapture the momentum on a touchdown drive to open the second half to extend their lead to 31-14. Though Oregon would make it 31-21 during the 4th quarter, Boise State… Read More

STORY: Oregon's Focus Shifts to Boise State in Sin City
A week of chaos among the Ducks' coaching staff brought uneasiness and uncertainty to Eugene, but lost among it all was the game remaining on the team's schedule. With the Oregon Athletic Department answering the players' calls for Mario Cristobal to be named the official head coach, all the distractions can be placed aside. What remains now is a Las Vegas matchup with the Mountain West Conference Champion Boise State Broncos. Entering the game ranked 25th by the CFP committee, both teams bring a history of bad-blood into their December duel. One final challenge sits ahead of Oregon, and much like the rest of the program and athletic department is trying to accomplish after the hire of Cristobal, the goal now is to refocus and stabilize, and it's most easily attained by taking care of business on the field. With a new head coach at the helm of the program, Oregon will be concluding their 2017 season the same way they started it. This time, though, the Ducks hope its a call to… Read More
