The Ducks were able to pull out a close victory against the Vikings, 95-84, thanks in large part to five Ducks scoring in double figures. Elijah Brown led the team in scoring with 22 points. Also, Payton Pritchard finished with 18 points on 4-7 shooting from three-point range and Kenny Wooten also had 18 points to go along with 6 blocks. The Ducks outscored their opponents 42-22 on points in the paint and had 27 assists on 32 made baskets. With the Oregon Athletic Department answering the players' calls for Mario Cristobal to be named the official head coach, all the distractions can be placed aside. After then-head coach Willie Taggart left Eugene for Tallahasse, Florida and the Seminoles of Florida State, the Ducks had a coaching vacancy. Oregon players made their voices heard early and often throughout Athletic Director Rob Mullens' hiring process.
