6:00 Oregon MBB Salvages Weekend at Home
- Quick review of USC loss
- Ducks nearly collapse vs. UCLA
- How do you characterize this weekend?
WBB: Game 2 of Civil War claimed by Ducks, win 75-63.
Falling short in overtime just two days earlier for their 14th straight loss to rivals Oregon State, the Ducks finally brushed the Beavers off their back with a convincing 75-63 victory on Sunday night. Both teams struggled to find their legs in the first quarter of the 100th Civil War, but an explosive 28-11 second quarter for Oregon gave them a 40-18 halftime advantage. Though Oregon State would continue to fight, Oregon would close out their rivals for the victory thanks to 21 points from freshman Satou Sabally. Mallory McGwire impressed in her second straight start, tallying 14 points and 6 rebounds as the Ducks dominated down low, holding a 32-8 margin of points in the paint.

MBB: Ducks Blow 18-point lead, but hang on to beat UCLA 94-91
After a disappointing loss to USC on Thursday, Oregon looked to turn things around at home against UCLA on Saturday night. The Ducks played their most complete half of the season in the opening 20 minutes of the game. They shot 55 percent from the field, committed no turnovers, and held Wooden Award hopefull Aaron Holiday to one point. The Ducks led 52-38 at the half. The second half was not as smooth, however, as the Ducks committed four turnovers in the first five minutes to allow UCLA to cut the lead to eight points. With five minutes remaining in the game, UCLA began a 12-2 run that resulted in a two-point Oregon lead with one minute remaining. Time, however, was not on the Bruin's side and the Ducks won 94-91. Payton Pritchard lead all scorers with 25 points, but Oregon Freshman Victor Bailey Jr. was the story of the game, scoring 18 points (including 15 in the first half) including three three-pointers. Oregon's next game is at home against Oregon State on Saturday, January… Read More

MBB: Oregon Loses a Close One, Falls to USC 75-70.
Following an encouraging road trip in Arizona, which saw the Ducks go 1-1 against two top 25 opponents, Oregon could not overcome USC's front court, as the Trojans came into Matt Knight and defeated the Ducks 75-70. Chimezie Metu and Bennie Boatwright both lead the Trojans with 18 points a piece, as Oregon wasn't able to come up with any answers for the USC bigs. USC was also able to snap their 14-game losing streak to Oregon, as the Ducks continue to search for answers this season. Oregon will get their shot to bounce back this Saturday against UCLA, tipoff is slated for 7:15 pm.
