WLAX PREVIEW: Oregon looking to rebound against Arizona St. after rough loss to San Diego St.

By Tayten Torgrimson

Oregon (7-5, 1-4 Pac-12) comes into a home matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils (7-8, 2-3 Pac-12) after a one-game trip to San Diego where Oregon suffered heartbreak. Oregon tied the game with about eight minutes left, then gave up a game-winning San Diego State goal with around three minutes left. It’s safe to say that conference play hasn’t treated Oregon kindly. Oregon's only win came against a talented UC Davis team that had fans amped for the rest of the season. Then Oregon battled against a very good USC team but fell short in the second half, and now San Diego State is the worst loss under first-year coach Jess Drummond. A game Oregon should have won handily on paper, SDSU had one win before this game, per usual the offense did its part, but Oregon, who has had excellent defense at times, seemingly crumbled.

How Oregon can recover:

The answer is simple, and it’s one that I have said multiple times.…

PREVIEW: Oregon Baseball Set to Take on Gonzaga in Midweek Series

by Justin Mills

EUGENE, Ore – With the No. 16 Oregon Ducks’ (25-10, 10-5 Pac-12) season more than halfway over all eyes are on the upcoming one-game matchup between the Ducks and Gonzaga Bulldogs (14-18, 10-2 WCC). With Oregon and Gonzaga looking to keep momentum going coming off series wins, the matchup promises to be an exciting one on Tuesday. With each team bringing their highly talented teams, Duck fans can expect an intense and competitive showdown between these two.

With both teams in great form as of late, the Ducks going 10-3 in their last 13 games and the Zags having a seven-game win streak, it will be a real test to see if these pitching staffs can keep the game manageable for their respective teams. With the Ducks securing yet another series win making it seven out of the last eight, they're looking to keep the consistency going with hopefully a dominant outing from probable starter Michael Freund while being led by the heavy-hitting…

BSB Story: Free passes, defensive miscues doom Ducks against Trojans

By Liam Baker

Eugene, Ore. — With a chance to pick up their first sweep of Pac-12 play, the Ducks fell to the Trojans 4-2 on Sunday at PK Park. The Ducks allowed just three hits on the day but issued three walks and hit five Trojans which USC capitalized on.

The Ducks got on the board first in the second inning via a Dominic Hellman home run and a bases-loaded walk to Bryce Boettcher but the threat was ended when Bennett Thompson grounded into an inning-ending double play. But, after picking up three hits in the first two innings, the Ducks recorded only two hits the rest of the way and failed to get a hit with a runner on base the entire game.

"I don't think the offense showed up to play today at the level that they are capable of which was frustrating," said Head Coach Mark Wasikowski.

Kevin Seitter drew the start for the Ducks and faced the minimum through three innings but gave up a solo home run to Austin Overn in the fourth which cut…
