EUGENE, Ore - After a long month of road matches, the No. 67 Oregon Ducks (12-9, 1-2 Pac-12) are back in Eugene with a pair of home matches on Friday against the #25 UCLA Bruins (8-6, 1-2 Pac-12) and the No. 49 USC Trojans (5-11, 0-2 Pac-12) on Sunday. The Ducks are coming off a 4-1 win against Utah and look to ride the wave this week. They have a tough task ahead of them as UCLA has two ranked players in No. 22 Govind Nanda and No. 120 Spencer Johnson.

The Ducks are 1-4 in their past five matches due to some rough circumstances. No. 2 Singles player David Cierny hasn't played the past two matches due to injury. This has led to everyone moving up in the lineup and No. 3 Vlad Breazu is on a four match losing streak. No. 1 Quinn Vandecasteele is going to need to pull through as his past couple matches have led to unfinished three set matches. EUGENE, Ore- Coming off a high-scoring performance the previous night, the Ducks kept the offense production going in game three vs. Seattle. Oregon managed to plate 9 runs in the win over the Redhawks. Maddox Molony led the offense with 3 hits, including his first career home run all in the ballpark where he grew up watching games.

“I was hoping it sparked something,” said Molony. “Hitting it in this uniform (Oregon) though was cool.” Molony graduated from Thurtston Highschool where he led his team to a state championship as a senior. The hometown kid was banged up to start the season but has had a good series with six combined hits.

EUGENE, Ore – A night after the Ducks could push across just one run in regulation, Oregon baseball (17-7, 6-3 Pac-12) seemed to have an easier win in the bag. Through two innings, Oregon was cruising. The Ducks led 4-0 and had their top-of-the-rotation starter RJ Gordon seemed to have his A-game on. 

But the script flipped for Oregon. The team which has had such a hard time starting games, but had the middle third of the game be a breeze, would struggle in the middle as the Seattle Redhawks (7-18, 3-6 WAC) continued to fight back. 

However, as it has all year, Oregon would ride its bullpen depth. Ian Umlandt, Cole Stokes, Brock Moore and Colin Clarke gave Oregon four innings of one run baseball. Most importantly, the true freshman Stokes and Clarke inherited difficult situations and rewarded the coaching staff with double play balls.

Oregon secured at the very least a series split against the Redhawks, winning 10-2.
