SB | Ducks Strike First, Can't Hold on in Loss to UCLA

Oregon came into Saturday's bout with UCLA fresh of a victory against the No. 1 nationally ranked team, but the end result was different. While the Ducks struck first in the opening inning and retired the first six Bruin-batters, UCLA surged for three runs in third inning and five runs in the fourth to take an 8-1 lead. The usually reliable Oregon defense mustered three errors that resulted in three of the fifth-inning runs for UCLA. Freshman Jasmine Sievers served as a bright spot for Oregon's offense, recording a hit all four times she came to the plate, but it was not enough and UCLA took game two of the series, 8-3.

AUDIO: Oregon Football One Week Away from Spring Game

With the 2019 Spring Game one week away, Oregon football spent Saturday scrimmaging. As there are many newcomers to the program, including Defensive Coordinator Andy Avalos and highly touted freshmen such as Kayvon Thibideaux, Oregon has cherished every snap this spring. Mario Cristobal met with media following Saturday's 110 play scrimage to outline where the program is heading into the week of the Spring Game.

Softball | Oregon Stuns #1 UCLA, Wins 4-3

After receiving Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week for her impeccable showing in Columbia, Missouri, Jordan Dail picked up where she left off, fanning 12 Bruins and leading her team to a shocking 4-2 victory over UCLA. Oregon went down 2-0 early, but a strong 4th inning brought the Ducks back into the game. Haley Cruse singled, Jasmine Sievers doubled her home, and April Utecht launched a home run over center field to give the Ducks a 3-2 lead. Rachel Cid led off the 5th with a solo home run and the Ducks held on to give UCLA its first home loss of the season.
